  • usually crawford does it legally but in this one he took some extra baby steps lol

  • of course its not legal to embarrass a grown man!

  • as in...he dribbled behind his back and the ball was in he air, took a first step, caught the ball then hopstepped.

  • it is legal. he took the extra step in between when the ball wasn't in his hands.

  • This move is absolutely legal. How could it not be??

  • Comment removed

  • mute it when you watch this video, or you will hear some dumbasses talking that might upset you. lol

  • kirk hinrich... is NOT

  • Dribble dribble behind the back hopstep. That isnt a travel. but it might be a travel since he does the behind the back with both his feet on the ground.

  • @RichHobOmg It isn't a travel because he dribbles the ball behind his back, and the hopstep occurs right after the dribble. Perfectly legal.

  • It is a travel, just not by today's basketball standards. Any other decade it would have been.

  • If this move was illegal then why did they put it on Nba 2k10 and 2k11 lol he just got burned

  • @frostbyte901 the nba 2k series isnt the authority on what is and what isnt legal in the NBA although i can see where youre coming from

  • LOL thats my move on nba 2k11 Jamal crawford is my favorite crossover Bball player ever.

  • if tony parker could do that move UNSTOPPABLE

  • The only thing illegal was how Kirk got embarrassed, that's probably what he was gonna say.

  • Its Legal , But No Way Anybody Getting Away With This In High School

  • that looks legal as long as you assume he lands and jumps off of both feet for that last hop he did.

  • 4steps are traveling!

  • @china4151986 i no right.

  • if i was kirk i would sit on the bench for the rest of my life after that

  • @primo1mexicana you wanna know whats embarrasing watch javale mcgee you will laugh your ass off how dumb he can be

  • lebron traveled

  • Best crossover ever

  • technically it is not legally a travel

  • Comment removed

  • @eyeofthetiger444 It's a travel because when he swings the ball back over Kirk's head with both hands on the ball, his right foot moves (step one), then he hops off the right foot and lands ON THE SAME foot (that's what makes it a travel), and then he takes another step with his left. You cannot hop off one foot and land on the same foot. You either have to land on both feet at the same time or come down on the other foot. But again, non-call. Too minute. See section XIV of the NBA Rule Book.

  • @mpetrie yeah i see what youre saying. its too remote to notice that his feet dont hit at the same time i wouldnt have called unless the coach asked for the play to be reviewed but why waste time on that?

  • @eyeofthetiger444 I'm fine that it was not called. IMO... it'd be considered a "picky" call since it was not so blatant when watched in full-speed. Some travels are very easy to spot... this one was not so it's okay that they let it slide (assuming they even saw it). However, a coach cannot ask for a replay to substantiate a traveling violation.

  • technically it isnt a travel is what he was saying

  • It is legal. His Feet came down with his dribble. That is considered no steps and he can jumpstop one more time.

  • It is he didn't finish..

He was gonna say it Wasent a travel

  • What the fuck? How is it embarrassing if its not legal?!

  • damn.....if you cant beat em....join em.....huh kirk hinrich??

  • Teammates now in the ATL

  • To all the people saying its Legal... It's not, when he comes to his 'jump stop' he establishes a pivot foot. Therefore, it a travel cuz he moves his pivot foot before he lets go of the ball..

For example, lets say D. Rose passes me the ball, i have to dribble before i move both feet regardless if i only move Two steps.

  • @RickyFe5 not if ur shooting and he shoots after a hop step

  • @RickyFe5 if you plant two feet on the dribble your aloud to take a hop

  • @joemama208 is it legal or illegal ?

  • @hghost08 its legal if you do it right

  • @RickyFe5 hop step land on 2 feet, no pivot foot.....disphits theres videos on youtube that show how it is legal

  • its called a hop step it is legal

  • @DukeOfRadical It's called 3 steps. It is NOT LEGAL. However, it is never called in the NBA, so why complain about this one.

  • @DukeOfRadical its called Shake and Bake xD but he mis stepped

  • @DukeOfRadical shake n bake

  • @DukeOfRadical A hop step is legal, yes, but he does take three steps, which is illegal. Anyway, they're not gonna call travelling on a play like that in the NBA

  • @Holdington how is it 3 steps when he hop step on one foot and landed on both that is 2 steps

  • @DukeOfRadical aka lebrons crab dribble.

  • @DukeOfRadical THANK YOU!!!

  • legal jump stop indeed, but after that you can't take another jump stop. But if it's that nice, i would call the foul either :D

  • not legal, because this move is too nasty

  • looks like a jumpstop, i see someone needs to be replaced.

  • ya it must be easy to get into commentary cause you dont have to know anything

  • @MJmartin33 Cosign lol, coz some of the fucks they got talking don't know shit. Man said 'technically', just say you don't know lol

  • Mixed em

  • this is a travel... his feet must land at the same time to be a hop step.

  • That move is above the law.

  • i don't think it's actually legal, cause i think once u gather both feet on the ground, grab the ball, than jump without shooting, its technically a travel. but who gives a shit, it was sick lol.

  • its legal..

  • WAIT IS THIS PERFECTLY LEGAL YAY OR NAY

  • Comment removed

  • @iMagineThis1 no its legal.. this ones was a little more 'sloppy' than the way jamal usually does it. the ball bounces behind his back at the same time his feet hit the floor, then takes the hop, which is only 2 steps. go learn basketball :)

  • You reach I teach.

  • dammn

  • it was legal but its a close call. sick move

  • its almost legal, would be if he landed with both his feet at the same time before he went up

  • technically it is legal because jamal crawford did it so im going to do it

  • @ballerbench NBA refs let a lot of these go for entertainment.

  • @misteraznpimp good point, never thought about that before

  • Legal or not... DAAAAMMMNNNNN!!!!

  • its not legal because ur supposed to bounce the ball when u do the pro hop.

  • @Louis4357 ummm...no ur not lol

  • @Davon02 ummm....yea u r. if u just do the hop without bouncing the ball, ur lifting up ur pivot foot which is traveling.

  • @Louis4357 no if u pick the ball up and do a bounce and put the ball over the defenders head and land on both feet its not a travel he never established a pivot if he jumps off both feet to begin with

  • it's all legal but he took 1 step extra before the 2 hops.

  • it should be illegal to embarrass someone like that

  • Picture Perfect (VERY LEGAL) Hop-Step... =OWWW!!!!

  • man da othr commentator's funny he sounds like a cat wen he says WOW.............WOW................WOW........... in 0:03 (dont listen at da guy sayin its not legal or wateva but instead listen 2 da othr guy)

  • most underrated player in the league...

  • LMAO its legal known as the shake & bake

  • Illegal! He came down one foot at a time. Its a bang bang call or no call..Still a great highlight

  • @Killa3Cam you know thats called a euro 2 step right? Manu does that all the time.

  • @faiithe thats not the eurostep. look it up and you'll see

  • @jedipudu i know that its a legal jump stop. But i mean like some people dont also realize that you can jump stop and take a long 2 steps. Thats what i was referring.

  • @faiithe ahhhhh...got ya

  • wow

    that is legal

he stop while dribbling behind his back

then he jump stops while moving the ball over him and lays up

    very effective move

used it in my playoff game

  • It doesn't take much to embarrass Kirk Hinrich. Him simply being on the floor is an embarrassment to whatever team he plays for.

  • Thats a jump stop which is legal.

  • get out the way Kirk Hinrich.........lol hahahaha

  • first its legal because of the rules. and seoncd, if it were illegal david stern would make a rule for that. because crawford did it a few times and it was never called.

  • DAMN... he made kirk hinrich look like... KIRK HINRICH

  • he created that rite???

  • its legal. he dribbles, jump stops, then elevates.

  • this is not leagal he is right

at 0:06 he made right pivot foot, than he lifts his right foot here he done travelling

only this happen bec he stop when he cross Hinrich if he remains in the flow this will not be a travel

  • @khatarnakinsaan

No its definitely legal. The last step he takes is in conjunction with a dribble (which ends when you make contact with the ball a 2nd time), and then he lands on two feet.

  • @PhanatixDDH bro look it now i tell u when he made righfoot pivot and then he moves his right pivot to jump stop than again he use rightfoot to make pivot foot to make shot look it now bro than again tell me if i m wrong

  • yes, it is legal, dumbass announcers.

  • Sorry to spam.Im a rapper tryna get my music heard.Come listen to the tracks and subsribe and help the movement!

  • @Prodigy947 yeah

  • y not legal?

    stupid commentator

  • legal its just a hopstep no travel and a killer crossover

  • IT IS NOT LEGAL BECAUSE HIS FEET DIDN'T CONTACT THE GROUND AT THE SAME TIME IN HIS JUMP STOP...YOU CAN SEE ONE FOOT HITS THE GROUND A SPLIT SECOND BEFORE THE OTHER

  • @TheMantouKing555 its still a two step. therefore...LEGAL!

  • it's illegal, he's black

  • @vinniebello shut da fuck up u racist pussy

  • actually, i change my mind, again. he traveled. he picked up the ball then did a jump stop.

  • actually, i was wrong. that was not travel. it was a jump stop. it was so quick that i just assumed he traveled.

  • travel

  • Looked like a LEGAL hop step to me. Commentator probably blind...

  • i mean hop step ^^

  • its a half step the commentator is stupid!!!!

  • Shake n Bake baby

  • Whooooo... that looked almost as good as Sue Bird naked, face down, ass up!

  • fcken dumb ass commentors IS THIS LEGAL, NO ITS NOT st fu bich ass nigga he took a driible jump stop for the lay up dumb ass niggas shuld get fired

  • It is called a pro hop

  • I love watching him break guys down. He goes behind the back and between the legs so smoothly

  • The behind the back dribble counts as a dribble. He holds it and swings it over Kirk Hinrich's head while doing a hop step. No travel.

  • @InQbus311 Have you EVER heard of a Hop-Step ?

  • @BalldinhoVanessa Its called a jump stop not a hop step lol.

  • @explosionbomb................you might be right i don't think he traveled at all. but i remember seeing this for the first time. i have the slightest clue why jamal Crawford keeps getting moved around like he does. he is one most underrated players in the NBA. i swear Lebron and the Cavs could use him. But im glad he doing his thang in Atlanta right now. He deserves it. Jamal Crawford will win 6 man of the year award! but fuck that he should be starting for somebody and not the knicks!!!

  • He walked and traveled at the same time

  • OMGod that shit is bomb as fuxk

Thnk god for the crab dribble

  • technically, it is NoT in the rules or regulations with a move with so much swagga! It is embarrassing tho.

  • kirk didn't no wat happened

  • man that nigga walked his ass off

  • Comment removed

  • 2k10....

  • this crossover is the easiest to try out of all his sik Xovers, the one he had on D-williams is hard

  • its legal. he jumped stop with the ball then jumped with 2 feet

  • @DukeyLee714

nah actually it looked like he took a step with his left foot then did a jump stop...

  • @DukeyLee714 Well if you look closely, He didn't really land on 2 feet, but i kno wut ur saying.

  • @dunknowhodisbe You know during a game they dont really look that closely lol As long as is looks like it then they will let it go.

  • @DukeyLee714 its not man. if you do that type of move where you jump on one foot then onto two, you have to land on your opposite foot that you took first. For example here, his first step with the ball in his hands is his right foot so then for it to be legal he would have to jmup onto 2 feet but make his left foot land first. He doesn't though, hit right foot lands first. It's just too hard to spot in game speed so they dont call it

  • @DukeyLee714 he already has two feet planted when he makes the hop step around kirk... all he could do is declare a pivot but he jumps around. not a hop step

  • @DukeyLee714 i believe he is suppose to land both feet at same time.. otherwise it counts as two and thus a travel.

  • @DukeyLee714 his feet didnt land at the same time. travel

  • @DukeyLee714 from 0.8 to 0.10 he said technacilly its illegal i said technacally your breath is illegal

  • technically is not??? wut?

  • the crossover lol

  • shit i didn't see Jamal's hands!

  • dats a fuckin killer

  • 0:07 KIRK!!!

  • commentator said its not legal but it looked like a legal jump stop to me!

  • he meant the crossover

  • @kgsteelers i think he meant not legal because that was fuckin sick!!

  • @kgsteelers commentators have no idea about basketball they just doing for money ...

  • oh and the guy in the background saying wow sounds hilarious!

  • not a travel... pro hop into a layup

  • Travel

A jumpstop is when a player leaves his feet, catches his dribble and lands with both feet. as no pivot foot is established, he can pivot on either.

Crawford picks up his dribble with his feet on the ground and then jumps.

If he lands with the ball, travel.

It is all dependent on when he picks up his dribble, I've seen him go behind his back on this move, picking the dribble up after jumping to the side, legal, he can then actually take a step as it's a jumpstop (see above)

  • Kirk is terrible. Bulls should have kept Jamal.

  • im wit u half way...they should have kept Jamal but kirk isnt terrible, he is actually good on D but just doesnt have the hight

  • You're fucking dumb.

  • Your aids riddled mom is fuckin dumb for not aborting a faggot like you.

  • You're black and talking about aids?

  • You're not only an aids riddled faggot, you're also a dumb racist cracker. You inbred pice of shit. Too bad you're dying mother is also your sister and your cousin. You never had a chance you racist inbred faggot.

  • Black!

  • AIDS RIDDLED CRACKER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ohhhh that was a nice comebac

  • looks like a blatant "travel' to me

  • its a jumpstop, not a travel

  • Naw its a crab dribble.

    hahaha

  • hahahhha

crab dribble is the answer to everything

  • lulolol, but its not actually a travel

  • the guy on the video says it is, but that's no travel. he doesnt close his hands on the ball til he's in the air, making it a pro hop. the shot is legal because he goes off two feet

  • hopstep.

  • it's a pro hop isnt it

  • Its not traveling, because he takes tha ball in the hands, when he has both legs on ground. So he has 2 steps to take. He takes the ball in hes both hand when he is landet on ground, that means if hes on move he can take 2 steps. It would been travel if he would taken the ball on both hands or hold the ball in hand before he landet on ground.

Gota say that was sick move from Crawford.

  • its a travel dude. Even the guy says at the end of the video. "Technically it is not legal..."

  • technically, he's wrong

  • woooooooooooooooowowowowow

  • would it still be a travel if he didnt do that little step while gathering the ball right before the actual hopstep

  • travel looks more like a hop step to me

  • lol yeah exactly u didnt include the bit where he was saying it was a TRAVEL
