The Second generation was the best generation. Hell, I clearly remember that moment when I found out that you could travel to the Kanto region. But when I finally arrived and fought Red... That was glorious. One of my best moments in video games, if not the best. Maybe it's just me having my nostalgia googles on, but man, I miss those times I had with Pokémon Silver and Gold.

I'm having a hard time which Champion Battle theme I like better... This one, or R/B/Y's.... On the one hand, this one is just plain epic, but I was always too busy rocking out to it to be scared. R/B/Y's, on the other hand, always had my pulse racing nervously.

I suppose they're both equal in my mind. R/B/Y's had that epic, you-are-about-to-be-destroyed feel to it, while this one has that epic, this-is-the-battle-to-end-all-­battles feel.

using level 48 pokemon, he was what I'd call a true adversary.

Now its all this BS with natures and stuff.

I remember a time when pokemon was just having fun, not so you can vs someone with pokemon online, to have them call you a hacker, when you beat their 999 defence palkia (lol, special defence was only 80)

Emulators, are probably a much easier alternative to your search for the originals, as most games from that era by now have been completed corrupted and unplayable all you need is a computer and Visual Boy Advance, that part is easy, getting the games however... all I can say is try not to get a virus or trojan horse programs on accident.

I just swept the floor with his Pokemon before they could attack -- the only one to last more than 2 attacks was Snorlax, the first time, but I brought Machoke the second time so it went down at the right time.

Why would I use items? I only used two Full Restores the first time I went through the Elite Four.
