I believe it's name comes fromt he Alchemy creation "Magnum Opus".

Technically, though not christian/catholic, it would be jewish (Jewish alchemy).

Opus Magnum means The Work of God. In some translations, it seems to be referring to Christ or the crucifixion, calling that event in history the work of God, I suppose.

i think you mixed it up with "opus dei". Deus means God. opus magnum means "the hard work".

Also wrong, sorry. Magnus is something big. Insula magna... means the big island. So opus magnum means something like "the big work". Although you really speak of opus magnum if you refer to a masterpiece.

It's like the Rock version of Schwarze Sonne, I think. The Das beste album is the only place I've found it. I ended up buying the whole thing for a lot of money, but it was totally worth it. If you want I can email you this song, though. Just private message me.
