  • If your friend wanted a 74 then why does this car have tail lights from a 75?

  • THATS BADASS O HOW I LOVE THE SOUND OF PURE AMERICAN MUSCLE AND BURNING RUBBER IN THE MORNING lol

  • 77 with a 73/74 front clip???? ummmm why???

  • @307OLDS Dont know, dont really care. It was my friends car

but he wanted a 74 and had the parts to do it laying around. This was when we were back in high school about 5 years ago. Car was a turd with that sbc in it. It now has a mild big block and has no problem burning down street tires like those from a roll.

  • Sounds great and looks great. It would have been nice to see the original front end. In my opinion the 76-77 front ends look best from the second gen montes.

  • that is a 1974 Monte, not 77

  • is it all stock?

  • SWEET CAR!! i just got one fron my uncle just like it. its faster than hell

  • Why would anyone take a 77 Monte Carlo clip off and replace it with a 74? 77 looked so much better.

  • coverlay makes a dash cover that looks like the real dash ,no one can tell

  • hey i got my monte from my uncle now! i have videos in my page'''

  • 77 was the first monte carlo introduced the duel up and down sqare headlights...thats a 76.

  • You're incorrect, Smar19. The 1976 Monte Carlo was the first year for the dual stacked rectangular headlights. This is a 1977 Monte Carlo with a 1974 Monte Carlo headlight and grill conversion.

  • @Smar19

76 had dual quads. That was the first year for that. In the description it says this car has a "front end conversion" which means they put on the earlier front clip. That front end is from the 73-75 models.

  • you shouldnt feel right callin it a 77

  • Buildsheeet and Door sticker says its a 77, you cant change those parts. The front was.

  • where can you find parts to restore one with? my 76 has the dash all cracked to beat hell... help anyone?

  • ebay, unfortunately they dont make repro dashes for the 73-77 a bodies, luckily though, a dash from a 73-77 chevelle, laguna, s-3, el camino or monte carlo will all fit.

  • nice! im buyin a 77' M.C. from my uncle! i still gotta give him another 600$ its CLEAN as FUCK! but they tranny went out 20 yeas ago! so its been sitting since then in his garage but this Clip gives me sum motivation!

  • hey I'm expecting to change the front end of my 74 Monte Carlo with the front end of a 76 or 77 MC... I saw eiter you have a 75 MC or you have changed it like you said... do you still have the original front parts?

  • Never thought at the time I owned mine, to swap the front.....wish I had, damn.

  • Good to see the huge Monte's (73-77's) burning some rubber!

  • looks like a 75 or 74.but i was like holy shit i thought the car was going to run into the truck lol

  • but what they didn't show you is that it did at the end lol.

  • 75 not 77

  • My car! I had a 77 black w/ red pinstripe, T-tops, red velour interior! My friends called it the batmobile. It was back in my drinking/smoking days, so it did smell a little bit like stale beer and cigarettes. Wish I had that car now.

  • That isnt a 77 you douche

  • Learn to read redneck

  • you are right round headlights are not on the 77

  • i had lots of monte carlos 72,5 75s,76,77,78 now getting a 81 with a small 267 v8 going to drop a 70s 350 4 bolt watch her fly

  • the grill and head lights are off a 74 and the tail lights off 77 very nice car

  • not a 77

  • noy a 77

  • best year of monte carlo

  • I thought the 77's had 4 square headlights? Very cool car !!

  • i thought so too

  • he put a 74' LS front clip on it

  • i have a 77 and raced a guy who had a 73 with a 305 twin. beat the fuck out of me. im all original though.

  • The 305 wasn't produced in 1973 numb nuts. 77 are UGLY as sin... the 73 is the best looking 2nd Gen Monte Carlo. 74 & 75 are okay, but the squared headlight 76 77 along with their asthematic engines (305 available in 77) are crap.

  • they R all great. so stop whine'n and bitchin.

  • Hey Fuck face. his shit was custom...

  • well you do know that you can put twin turbo on that bad boy and run 11s and I'm not joking it's

    bin done before....!!!!....

  • Has 1977 Tail Lights. '76 & '77's have Square Front Headlights.

  • Nice car. I got a '73 with the 454, all stock. Gets about 4 miles a gallon but she is sure fun to drive.

  • dude this still has the round lights..it can't be a 77!

  • It is a 77. All he did was put a 73 front end on which you can do since 1973-1977 Monte's are the same body style. I've actually seen this modification before on several 77's.

  • Cool. I always liked the nose conversions on the '77. Somehow the ribbed 77 tail lights w/ the round head lights seemed right.

  • Man your car and my buddy's car are almost the same exept the front nose :) hehe he just got done putting in his 355 w/ some goodies, when he runs it at the track ill put up some vid... he likes the vids of your monte ALLOT :)

  • Thanks. I wish I had more videos to post, but I don't right now. My car is faster since those vids were made. I made a 14.676 @ 92.72 a couple weeks ago.

  • hehe when it gets put in the car i will

  • u post the 350 too? ( o )_( o )

  • haha yeah... this is w/ the a weak 305... he is building up a 350 block right now.. O_O

  • oh, front end conversion, I missed that...

  • That's not a '77 it's about a '73, awsome car nonetheless.
