I'd like to suggest, if I may, that you contact some former and present CMU students in your chosen area, and ask them all kinds of questions, including how they prepared their applications. Thanks for the advice Dee. I'm applying for a PhD though, so the process is probably going to different from undergrad'. In fact, it'll most likely be far more intense, so I'll definitely look into contacting some members of the department.

I have to say, I loved your video. I'm from the UK and I'm actually about to apply to CMU. I didn't know that CMU has such a Scottish lilt to its identity. I don't know if that'll help in any way with my application, but I guess there's no harm in trying.
