My mum used to have one of these machines, she said it was the best one she has ever owned, she hates these new energy saver ones as there is just not enough water to give the clothes a deep clean like the old ones used to!!
By the looks of it quite a few people grew up with this machine lol, myself included. Many fond memories lol, it used to eat mine and my brothers baby socks and would end up in the filter lol. It apparently never broke down, my grans mate has it.
@phillipmerrick12 Hi. My gran had this machine. I never got to see it working tho. She was very particular about that kind of thing. Definitely great quality. I've not seen an old machine with an induction motor and clutch before. remarkably silent.
we have a newer zanussi (5 years old) not as good as these old machines. congratulations on such a good machine and one thats in such good condition im quite envious
My mum had one of these machines she bought it in 1984 from Woolworths, i am not sure if this the same model but it does look very similar, she loved it because unlike these energy efficient ones it used loads of water so your clothes got a really good wash!!
i want one my mum had one 23 years and when we moved house she left it big mistake!!!! if ya ask me zanussi are crap now i had one and it lasted 18 mnths :(
My Mum had this washing machine when I was growing up. Haven't seen one for years! It looks like it's in extremely good condition for the age it must be. I'm guessing it must be at least 24-25 years old :o)
A few weeks ago, I had to repair this washer. It belonged to a work collegue of mine. They used this washer as a 'second washer', for horse blankets and such. The washer was in incredibly good nick, but the door lock didn't actually lock. I had to slam the door once and then she ran.
Hey man!Know you the Zanussi Z919t(Not Z9191T) with silver door?

ive noticed in the video the drum has warped so it seems to be bent where it meets the door seal ?
nakedpace 4 months ago
@nakedpace Hi, No there is no damage at all to the machine. It may just be the door seal or the clip.

Incredibly simple and reliable washers ;)
