Absolutely flawless and with such stage appeal and musicianship! She was delightful, and still is. I first heard her play Voliere when she recorded it at the request of Leonard Bernstein in 1961 on an album of Saint-Saenz's Carnival of the Animals.

Do you mean double tonguing? This piece is double tongued, there aren't any figures in the excerpt that require the use of triple tonguing...

Actually, there ARE some triple-tongued 16th note triplets in it. Check the lick again!

@emquandra yep it does! i can pla flight of the bumblebee withouth a mistake and i'm no pro! now this is hard! i can play this voliere piece but nowhere near that fast. i can take it at 80 doubletounguing! i got lost of work to do! but i'll never ever be as good as her!

Absolute amazing!!! As you can see, it's ok to use some alternate fingerings. From the video you can see she plays the trill fingering for the high E-F and later she doesn't lift her left pinky for the middle C-D passage. So do I and anyone who is after a clean performance at this tempo, in pitch and so musical. BRAVISSIMA!!!

She's using the real fingerings, isn't she?...instead of the alternate trill fingerings...oh my goodness.

She is absolutely amazing!! She does use the trill fingering for high E-F and she doesn't lift her left index for the fast middle c-d passage. That is all I can tell from the video. But so do I and everyone else who is after a clean performance at this speed. Yet it is very clean, in pitch and complete acceptable. BRAVISSIMA!
