Bill HIcks is as articulate as he is funy. Very well executed humour and a sharp outlook on life which causes other people to think even if they disagree with his viewpoints/stance. This is to be commended people, someone who not only thinks, but makes other people think. Think about that next time you watch the x-factor or some other mind-numbing garbage on your tv set.

People like Bill Hicks are very important for freedom and democracy. We had the same debate in the Netherlands about Theo van Gogh. People like Bill Hicks are very important for freedom and democracy. We had the same debate in the Netherlands about Theo van Gogh. He was very rude to but if our freedoms are taken away by every person who is offended by something...where would we draw the line? That's why there is no line for a free society.
It's a bloody shame he died so young. Hicks is just what the US needed in the last couple of years. He was not only a comedian but also a great political thinker and philosopher.

Which is it? His show or because he has to cater to dives? He contradicted himself. He does it his way but he does it the way people in the dive want it. So does that mean he's saying he panders to the audience and therefore he does not do what he wants after all. Maybe he is saying that he picks the type of audience who like his type of comedy, which makes it a two way street.
