I can't really understand what's wrong in comparing these bands, even you - by saying that LTE is better - in a way, compared them, because you listened to 1st band than the 2nd and you had to COMPARE to chose the better one. What is my problem is that knowing that these guys CAN write such great music like they wrote for the two LTE albums, it is a pity that they don't write more of such music for DT, which is their MAIN band (at least was until Portnoy left), that's why i made such comparison

Besides, i think DT and LTE styles are similar to that point that it is perfectly OK to compare them and since both projects involve virtually the same men, we can judge them on equal basis.

I was at the Chicago show last night. Amazing!!!!!! Jordan Rudess's keyboard broke, so he went backstage to talk with Roland, so Mike, John and Tony jammed for an hour, then Jordan came onstage, grabbed John's guitar, started shredding, then John picked up Tony's bass, then Tony grabbed his chapman stick. They jammed for a while more, then mike's drum tech came onstage and played drums, while Mike went to bass and John switched back to guitar. Then they jammed for a while more!!! It was genius!!
