  • DO IT AGAIN DAD!!! LMFAO

  • That was funny. Damn straight! Tracers are pricey.

  • lol looks like star wars

  • Not only is the gun gangster but with those rounds in the dark looks awsome!!

  • Wow is right!

  • Ha, those last statements about sum up class 3 ownership, lol

  • Screw blasters, this is the real thing!

  • @medadoodie no sure i think so

  • Im a fiiriiing mah laazzzoooorrrrr

  • wow its like shooting a laser gun

  • Top video, you Americans know how to roll. Greets from Australia.

  • Q merda parece starwars

what hell, this is star wars?

  • where can i buy one of these? Its a classic weapon and i love it

  • reminds me of starwars.

  • AWESUME

  • OMG LASER THOMPSON!

  • Cool Its a star wars blaster!

  • why can you own a single shot gun, but not an automatic...single shots can kill too

  • @imaterminator You can, just pass the FBI background check, pay your 200$ wait a few months, and find you a gun made prior to 1986 and you got yourself a full auto.

  • MynkNx is just an envious bitch, sad that you can't be American

  • Bullets seem so slow when you use tracers, but heck, I still don't want to be in front of one.

  • Very cool

  • Where did you get tracer / incendiary bullets? Those are illegal.

  • @163way Tracers arent incendiary rounds so they are legal

  • Lol "Do it again!"

  • IMA FIREING MA LAZOR

  • americans are fuckin gun nuts...

  • @mynkNX your mom guns on my nuts

  • @macyND or my nuts in your mouth... but that would be too sweet for a fag like you

  • @mynkNX ok, you killed it. your a stupid fuck arent you? fucking waste of life you piece of shit

  • @macyND but what makes you think that I'm an american?

  • @mynkNX i never said your an american? see thats what im trying to say........that your a dumbass

  • @macyND but "dumbass", "waste of life", "stupid fuck" - arent those synonyms for "american"?

  • @mynkNX Hey, don't judge Americans like that. Not all Americans are like this, you know. It's like going to /b/ on 4chan and expecting the rest of humanity to be like that. The internet obviously isn't a place you want to be if you expect everyone to act like they're "Europeans." Europe has some pretty bad flaws last time I checked, don't they? So don't go out on Americans like they're all spawn of Satan with an I.Q. of 80.

  • First you can see your rounds go on target, then you see your target light on fire!

  • FUCK (short pause) YES!

  • IMAGINE IN A GUN BATTLE IN WAR WITH TRACERS DAMMM IT WOULD BE FUN BUT AT THE SAME TIME DANGEROUS BUT FUCK IT ITS WAR ...

  • FREKIN LAZORS

  • 0:18 "That's what she said!"

  • Nice, no flashlight needed !

  • 0:14

why did the bullets fly up/bounce?

  • @jettrooper3rd Because of physics.

  • that looks so bad ass dude! i would put a tracer for every 3rd of 4th shot so that way you can see where your bullets are going if your just firing and not aiming , great video and nice gun :)

  • looks like something out of star wars 0_o

  • imagine tracer rounds in the night sky are like shooting stars i really need a wish rite now..wish rite now!

  • @babaz7 no

  • thats one more thing i have too do before i die.

  • that is sooo cool see the rounds recosay

  • lol do it again dad . cant afford it LOL

  • haha that looked so kool!! main gun!!

  • great gun ! even better rounds ! how much did your thompson cost ???

  • @RubenScouse, I paid about $7200 for it back in 2001. Have put several thousand in it since then, but it's overall value has about doubled....

  • @The1930sRust wow its sweet dude nice vid ;)

  • @The1930sRust incredibly bad ass. Thompson is the best on the planet IMHO. Where did you get the green tracers from? I love all the people that think full auto weapons are totally illegal. Damn nice gun, wish I had one.

  • @The1930sRust Aren't those worth 30 grand now?

  • @The1930sRust did you load all tracers? or 1 every 5 rounds

  • @The1930sRust i found one in great condition at a gun show for 1200 you must of got ripped off

  • @MrDip02 - those are not full auto. They are semi-auto new production clones.

  • @MrDip02 For $ 1200 you get a late model reproduction that is semi auto.

a full auto cost upward of $15,000. Because the supply is limited to whatever full auto gun that is made prior to the NFA law was passed . google TITLE 2 NFA firearms

  • man its like fire works !!

  • STAR WARS!!!

  • Can you get tracer rounds for a revolver? Just curious.

  • @FreeMason04 not for individual guns, but for calibers.

  • They are cops.. They do what they want!! .. see the K-9 T-shirt.

  • man i love that sound nice vid.

  • isn't it illegal to own an automatic firearm?

  • Accepting some US government restrictions, and a one-time per sale $200 transfer tax, anyone can own one. However, certain States have banned their sale and/or ownership. It is confusing, but in most states (like Kentucky) if you are not a convicted felon, etc., you can buy one. But there can even be "restrictions" on the local level even if they are legal if the "chief law enforcement officer" just refuses to sign the proper ATF paperwork.....YMMV

  • @The1930sRust

ah okay. thank you, i was just wondering. what is YMMV btw

  • @The1930sRust isn't it also you need to get like a Class 3 weapon permit? Or am I just smoking the wacky-tabacy?

  • @AdmiralZhao007 I think in Texas you have to get additional license to own a fully auto-matic. Also you have to have a clean record and register not only the gun but attend courses. Overall still legal

  • @sk8ingdude69

    okay, thanks

  • @AdmiralZhao007 hell no.

  • pro: well directed fire.........con: nice way to give away your position....

  • Aren't tracer rounds made with phosfor?

  • Doo it uhgean, dàid!

    Uh cain't uhfforrd it!

  • PEW PEW PEW

  • looks like a video game :p cool

  • I'M FAHRIN MAH LAZAAAAH!!!

  • Wooow... just incase you had a target, it's a good thing those rounds take 3 seconds to get there!

  • Star wars!:O JK JK lol.

  • whats the point of tracers?

BTW Thompson may just be the best gun ever Made

  • Easily directed fire. And I agree. Best gun ever made....

  • @The1930sRust Was that from Grandpa? Or did it cost you a pretty penny in taxes?

  • @The1930sRust I like the B.A.R also

  • @cowboysrule if its dark and only one guy has NV then these will point out targets

  • @cowboysrule ...they are a standard in machine guns every 5th round as like the guy before for direction of fire and see if you're on target with your shots...they are also used in rifles in your magazine as the 3-5th last shots to know that you're on your last rounds and to reload...evyerones SOP's are different though...they're also pretty cool to shoot at night...(if you have the cash)

  • @cowboysrule better aiming AND is could to keep friendly fire down. of course only if the enemy isnt using them :D

  • @cowboysrule whats the point of tracers? So you and everybody else can tell where you are shooting. Just remember, tracers work both ways.

  • @Spankydaham924 They can also be used as a distraction..... enemy focuses on the tracer rounds while the rest of the squad moves into position.

  • @RustySurfer23 right you are sir.

  • @cowboysrule : the piont of tracers is to know where your shots are going in a low light situation, or just to know where your shots are going

  • @cowboysrule theyre amazing... lol.

  • @cowboysrule I like to agree but consider The Browning .50 [BMG] almost unchanged in design and still in service for over 100 years. no firearm can stand up to that. Amazingly enough, The M-16 platform is now the longest running , being neck and neck with the AK-47 shell, for assault weapon militaries World wide since the early 60`s

  • @cowboysrule i disagree. the best gun is the m1 garand

  • Imma firing mah lazor!

  • nice.... "do it again dad... i cant afford it" lol classic

  • last thing a lot of japs saw

  • Comment removed

  • @adenak

    nice :P

    but kinda racist

  • That's neat.

Curious I've heard it's illegal to own tracers unless you're part of FBI? Is that for certain guns?

  • No, they are not illegal. Now, there may be certain state prohibitions, but I've never heard of any. You can buy them very easily, though they ain't cheap! And at 50 or so in a few seconds...........

  • @The1930sRust Interesting, though expensive it looks worth it. Every once in a while lol.

  • @kikook222 i live in NY and they sell them in my local gun store so if there legal here you should be good considering NY is so strict, but check your local laws

  • i love tracer ricochet looks soo cool

  • i think the bullet is coated or rigged in some way with white phosphorus or magnesium, or a combo of both and they flare bright when in contact with the oxygen in the air as they move at high speeds.

  • Pause it right at 0:11 sec. Its EPIC

  • @dirtydirty505 at 0:13 sec....thats epic!

  • @dirtydirty505 0:14 is even more epic!

  • Do it again man! (I mean it.)

  • I love tracers.

  • thats one hell of a roman candel there lol

  • Cool bro very cool. Do it again your budy said Lol.

  • @soccerandraprgay

They put a phosphorus substance on the inside the bullet, not in the lead but separately , and the gun powder ignites it. Some tracers can last for a few hundred meters. Put .45 cal ones, wont last very long.

  • that was awesome

  • WOW

  • awesome

  • so you can see where your shots are hitting and in battle they are sometimes used as a way of target designation, or as a crude rangefinder when mounted next to a heavier gun, works both ways though obv as when you start shooting tracer everyone is gonna know where you shot from.

  • pause at 0:11 - Epic ?

  • well that was rather cool

  • that was fucking sweet..

  • r tracers powerful than any other ordinary bullets?

  • Nope. In fact, they may be a little lighter. There' s a little pocket in the back of the bullet, which contains a little bit of phosphorus compound, which, when fired, is lit by the heat and pressure. That will burn a little bit for a few seconds as the bullet flies towards it's target.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames

and acualy they are pretty in accurate being that they lose weight as they fly

  • The amount of weight they lose is insignificant. And it's lost from the back center of the bullet, and has virtually no effect on the ballistics of the round.

I shoot pulled spotter-tracer rounds out of my .50, and even though they're pretty rough shape, and the tracer in back is about a quarter of an inch or more, rather than just a pinhole, and they're still quite accurate.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames

but not as acccurate as the m118 ball

  • That's dependent a great deal on the rifle, as well. And yeah, I wouldn't expect old, pulled bullets which aren't all uniform in weight or shape to be as accurate as custom loaded military match ammunition when fired from two rifles of identical quality on a day with perfect conditions. However, at longer ranges and windier conditions, the ~860 grain spotter tracers are going to be more accurate than any .308 round. My Steyr will still do sub-MOA with a clean barrel and well loaded rounds.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames I have a .50 cal. spotter mounted on my 106mm Recoiless Rifle. The cartridge case is shorter than the one for the .50BMG. The spotter bullets burn longer than the 50.BMG tracer does.

  • @sidewindermack Yeah, I'm shooting the bullets made for the spotter-tracer in hand-loaded .50 BMG with a light loading. Same bullet, and same effect without having to get another barrel. Though it doesn't have the recoilless rifle attached to it.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames I don't know why they made a different case for the spotter cartridge. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

  • @sidewindermack I suppose to get the correct muzzle velocity, and to avoid having too low a case fill ratio when using the same powders, they'd about have to. Not like the people designing all this have to worry about procurement at all.

  • tracer is just to show the shooter where the bullets are going.

  • nah, they have a charge on the back of the round that ignites when fired. That's the trail you see, but it's not different in power

  • WOW! sweetist tracer vid on youtube! its awesome cause .45 caliber bullets are so slow makes it more enjoyable to watch lol.

  • so badass

  • laser gun like star wars

do it again ned ! lol

  • Star fucking wars lolol -_-

  • haha thats awsome

  • He sounds like Joe Pesci lol

  • tracers are for lmgs so you can see what your shooting

  • zepppelinfreak13, oil+fire wont do it, you need oxygen as well.

  • "do it again dad! "cant afford it" lmao

  • @xXxXxusaxXxXx "i would shot yo ass, if i could afford it. you had better hope i cant get some bullets on layaway!" -Chris Rock

  • At least the target was safe!

  • I can't afford it :D:D:D:D:D

  • sigh, when you give rednecks guns, the coolest things can happen

  • Sir! My mother was a redneck!

  • cool, give her a gun :)

  • lol it makes me remember about some old war games.... since you can see the bullets......... nice 1 5/5

  • What is the purpose of a tracer? Intimidation to the enemy?

  • To aid in the direction and accuracy of of fire? Not to intimidate: remember, they can see where the point of fire is coming from!

  • i just bought some AP tracers for my AR15..though not as cool as a full auto thompson...ive got a few vids up..ill be shooting tracers in a few days...at night of course and post that vid ;) thanks for the post by the way very nice

  • Make sure you're far enough out so the tracer has time to light!

  • most definately, ive read 50-75yds..anyways check out my channel sometime..tell me what u think..

  • oh lets say your target is an oil dump, a normal round will not light that shit up. but a tracer has a flame around it so combine oil and fire what do you get????? Or it is mostly used for training purposes :)

  • Possible but unlikely to cause a fire. Round is used for directing fire. Perhaps your own, or if acting as a squad leader, to assign area of fire to your subordinates. Since tracers work both ways, you don't want to do it more than you need to.

  • Nope. Not even with a tracer. I've tried shooting tracers into gasoline bottles, and haven't gotten them to light it.

Now, on the other hand, there's some high velocity rounds in the .224 caliber, WSM/WSSM, Swift, and the Weatherby Rocket, which on their own, might have the velocity to diesel a small amount of fuel.

  • Because of its relatively heavy weight, surprisingly little recoil...

  • how much kick does that thing have!?!?!

  • slim 2 none

  • awsome

  • haha damn, those are cool. really expensive, but so awesome

  • holy shit, I WANT TRACERS

  • ''do it again dad!!''...hahahaha

  • tracers r pretty expensive

  • Except for certain communist-dominated enclaves, this is the USofA! Many states mandate the right of private citizens to own fully automatic weapons. Google NFA ownership...

  • where do you live? How can you own a fully automatic?

  • you need a permit to have an automatic weapon is all

  • Not really a permit. But you need to live in a state that allows such things, go through a background check, fingerprinting, and have your Chief of police sign off on your form, and then $200 more for a tax stamp, and you can own any transferable machine gun, so long as it has paperwork predating the ban on transferable machine guns in '86.

  • Murphy's law of combat: If you can see your tracers, so can the enemy.

  • also known as "tracers work both ways"
