My husband is studying Korean hard for our second visit to Korea in October for Chusock and our Korean traditional wedding. :D Foreigners speaking Korean is sooooooooo adorable!!!
I'm speak very little Korean, despite having taken Korean in college. So, I'm rooting for your hubby! Enjoy your wedding! There are videos of our traditional wedding on YouTube.
That's the first thing Americans do when they get to a foreign country, they "AMERICA-nize" it. Next thing you know, there'll be McDonald's, Wal-Mart, and Chuck E. Cheese restaurants in downtown Baghdad.
sorry you took that as me getting all touchy. i was attempting to make a true joke about how Americans prefer to change the landscape of the places they go to match America, rather than fit in with the local culture. that's a fact! we bring our Harleys, our fast food chains. Personally, I think it's sad. On post, it looks just like America. Once you step off-post, it's like automatic culture-shock! :)
Really nice street. I didn't think there was ANY streets in Asia like this.
