thanks Colin for the comment. Both machines are good. In my opinion MC-808 have better choice of sounds but MC-909 has better interface to control sound "on the fly" I really likes both grooveboxes :)
I have still MC-505... since ten years... its old but amazing gear too !!!
Woooh man, you perfectly captured the essence of this sequenced music - as an hobbyst musician myself, i must say that it looks so easy to make such music... but we all know it requires some effort... ;)
I've now listened to this fantastic piece like 25 times in the last year. Any chance we can get you to do a full, longer version, and upload it in stereo?
Superb! I simply adore these hipnotic sounds. Indeed, the effect overall is quite mesmerizing. I keep wondering if you were inspired by any specific track or just by their general way in using sequencers.
very good.listen to babylon 5 soundtracks which i have all of.Chris has kept the style of electronic music alive for the fans to hear faint glimpses of tangerine dream amongst the scores for the shows/films
I've listened to this dozens of times now, it's just awesome. My only "complaint" is that it's too short. This easily could have gone on for 10 minutes and I would have kept listening.
It's been three years since my comment above. Come on Vanderson man, you've got to help your fans out here and expand this awesome track to a good ten minutes. We're still out here, patiently waiting!
It's a little like Edgar's Dali-Esque Sleep Fuse on Stuntman and a tad like rhythmic bits from Thief too. But either way it's just a great TD inspired cut from the Franke-Froese-Schmoelling era. Especially impressive as no one uses units like this in such a style. The guy that says this is the best MC-808 clip on YT is right.
Awesome job! TD is hard to cover or imitate considering how they piled up so many unique sounds over complex evolving compositions. One of the least covered bands out there considering how influential and inventive they were.
yeh, this is nice, just getting to grips with my new MC808, its the first piece of new gear in years -so used to the old faithfull RM1X its taking a while to get used to it! But definitly rate the sounds on the 808. Hopefully get some tracks uploaded on here soon.
Once again very nice old school of Tangerine Dream electronic music with amazing mixing. I am also curious how did you make the color of lights change on your MC-808? Was it some kind of filter on your video editing equipment? Cheers
Great sequencing, very old-school!
