  • thank you for your advice...i'm seriously thinking about going into this field.

  • I starts my career with Cr England.. I leased a truck an it started out good I fallowed the program they said to fallow to make money I became a trainer but no money to show for my hard work.. now am with a smaller company and am loving it and making money.. the one thing am grateful for Cr england is the experience I gained .... :-) always look at the positive side of things and learn from ur mistakes but most important never be afraid to admit u don't know it all and ask for help

  • Thanks for the advice :-) am almost at my 1 year mark ....and loving it

  • Trucker47 your advise sound sarcastic? can you expand upon it? or are you sincere? Love your vids thanks for the adventures!

  • Bigcattrucker from Swift and trucker47...hired from the same advertising firm..."Do whatever ur dispatcher says"...so if my dispatcher tells me to sell my house and live out of the truck..i guess my lic will digital...

  • @stevefromPA2 You sound like a very smart individual....NOTT

  • @dav7722 If u dont understand what I said and didnt listen to the video dont fault anyone for ur ignorance...If u had any common sense u would question why most of the big compaines have a turn over rate of almost 80% after a year...and most ppl use them to gain experience to get a better truck driving job...And yes dude..I am a smart individual..who figured out 1 year into trucking that over the road driving other than for urself is slavery..

  • @dav7722 And before u start ranting..add up the time u spend in a truck..sleeping and working....168 hrs in one week divided by $1000 pay...equals $5.95 a hour...thats below mimimum wage..and how many big company drivers are making $1000 every week...common sense..

  • @stevefromPA2 I do not disagree with you on that aspect ,but dont get on here saying things that you dont actually know for a fact is all Im saying. But for some of us it isnt always about the dollar its about doing what we love to do period!

  • @dav7722 Oh ok ..U didnt understand that I was being sarcastic about Trucker 47 and Big cat...See You have to see Big cat truckers videos from the start..He is basically talking just like trucker 47...but something funny happend to Big Cat..in 1 year he went from not knowing how to drive a truck or even what company to work for to Swift giving him a Volvo with custom paint 5k in electronics..his own show...His own merchandise. and in less than 2 years fired..He was plant..like I suspect trk 47

  • @stevefromPA2 I got it now..We are on the same page! My bad....

  • Hi trucker47 I have cdls b and i working on my cdl a on my own. I have a friend that wants me to drive for her in the area.(Chicago) She said she will teach me how to drive her truck. My husband won't let me go over the road. What do u think???Be Blessed and Safe.

  • Good advice, and damn you have a very sexy voice. +1

  • in the research process of Swift, but check back with me later and maybe I'll have a report for you then. Who knows maybe you'll see a video of me up here soon enough in a Swift truck (at least for one year anyways)! :)

  • USA a day or two ago, I was told I'd have to take the written test again and not the road test. None of this seems to correlate so I'm a little weary of them. Central Refrigerated seems to be honest with me so far and they are the main reason I went deeper into my research about Driver Solutions and USA as he told me they couldn't train me as I lived in Virginia as Virginia didn't accept CDL's from other states without retesting. Check them out as they may be a good option for you. I'm still

  • good advice Brenda, i featured this one on the site

  • @lifeasatrucker Oh wow sounds good.thanx.

  • Check out dreadcap.com

  • trucker47,I WANT TO DRIVE A TRUCK BUT HAVE NO EXP WHAT SCHOOLS GIVE FREE TRAINING???

  • @cool2shuffle Check out England,USA,Swift, good luck.

  • @cool2shuffle Also check out Central Refrigerated. If you live near Texas FFE may be an option also, but I don't know as much about them.

  • @cool2shuffle there are no compaines that give free training for non CDL drivers..u will be obligated to them for 6mos to year..if u leave they will hit u up for whatever they say the training cost..usually around 3k....

  • thank u good information

  • I love your videos. They are very informative. I am getting ready to go into PRIME inc driver training to get my CDL and out on road to train. Your Videos are the greatest. I have the mindset I am going to pass my test and do great training OTR. I hope to see you out on the road sometime. Watch out World here I come in my bigrig

    Thanks Girl-

    Keep the world laughing

    Adam

  • @Cloudywinds How do u feel about Prime a year later?

  • Thanks for the tips baby girl...be safe out their...maybe we'll cross paths someday.

  • Good advice. The drivers who constantly complain about their miles are usually the ones who constantly give the dispatch office headaches.

  • @aristotle35769 You have a slave mentality...Big companies could careless how much money u make..its about pleasing the customer..thats why its ok for them to have u sitting in truck stop for days on end...

  • Thank you baby 4 the advice!!!! XOXO

  • Ya I got tip Swift SUCKS ASS! DO NOT JOIN WITH SWIFT!

  • Hey Brenda, how do you like that Bulldog, do you find the sleeper comfortable? How do you compair it to some of the other trucks you've had over the years? great vid, 5*'s!

  • Great advise. I might ad, do want they ask, but do it safely.

  • Thanks for sharing this advice.

  • thats great advice unless you got ELOGS, then u wont be able to do it even though you're capable of doing it.

  • That was really good advice for the newbies.

  • Nice.

  • good advice((smiles))

  • let me ride with you

  • thanks for that info.

  • you're welcome.

  • @gameover340 Just a piece of information: I'm researching the truck companies that offer free training and it seems Swift may be one of the better ones. They have a pay scale that graduates you to around .34 cpm at the end of your first year. Watch out for Drivers Solutions which is who USA uses to connect you to a trucking school, etc. I don't think I was told the truth regarding my state laws as the lady there told me that I would get a 'paper' from Indiana that I would take to my local DMV to

  • @TriCity4Jesus Swifts profit is in using new drivers...check out their turn over rate for drivers after a year...

  • @gameover340 then get a hard copy of my state CDL. Through a job application I filled out with Central Refrigerated (Utah), I found out I couldn't train in another state and then transfer that to VA. This morning I looked at my states CDL handbook and sure enough it says papers from driving schools, etc. aren't accepted and one must test local. Be sure of everything before you step out into the waters. I've read good and bad about companies, but I'm going to pick the company that has the least

  • @gameover340 and also the less absurd.

  • @TriCity4Jesus who do u drive for or about to go drive for.

  • @gameover340 Well, the main company I'm considering now is Swift. I don't have transportation at the moment to drive to a local driving school and Driver Solutions who is the recruiting organization you would work with to get training for USA seemed a little sketchy to me. She talks nice and everything, but I was told I could transfer Indiana CDL to Virginia after school and not have to retest. Virginia CDL book tells me they don't accept papers from schools or other states and when I called

  • @gameover340 I just saw a message from someone who had worked for both Swift and USA and it said USA is better even though neither one of them are that great. Just passing this information on.

  • @TriCity4Jesus oh, that good
