Most of the people who argue over books/movies/TV shows, have what I see as an inability to seperate reality from fiction. They become so obbsessed with a fairytale that life and fantasy begin to blur and they genuinly believe in the story enough to value it over human life.

Other people are just plain jackasses, who think they're always right. Completely agree with you. Most of these people do have mental issues in some form or other. The rest are just ass hats.

There's a difference between attacking a book, and attacking the people who read the book. You can't be "rude" to a book. You can only be rude to the fans of the book. There's nothing wrong with criticizing the actual material. It's only when you criticize people for liking the material that it's not OK.

The people/person who made the pie is the AUTHOR - in which case, being criticized or attacked comes with the job. The fans in this case are the people who are tasting the pie.
