@BeautifulTrainwreyck  She was. This is an adopted daughter also named Laura. I think she crashed an awards ceremony where Brooke was to receive an award for her work at The Community Center. Laura crashed the ceremony and said Brooke didn't deserve the award, and that the community center wasn't as great as everyone thought it was. Laura, I think, was attacked while living att he community center, and Brooke actually went to live there and see first-hand what was going on.

people should write to All My Children for her giving the show a 30 years..people control th media the media doesnt control them..the old characters hav good acting and the old stories were so realistic. 3 generations in my family know and grew with All My Children i hope Brook legacy goes onto the 4th gen

Brooke was such a cool character. I started watching AMC in college in 1976. Brooke was young and sexy then. My college roommate had a huge crush on her. We would schedule our classes around AMC (no home VCRs then!) and hoped that Brooke would be on that day.

My dream goodbye scene for Brooke--Jamie, Tad, Adam, Jack, Joe, Opal, Stuart, Amanda, and Marian (and even Erica) all at the airport to say goodbye to her... she slaps Erica, hugs Tad/Jamie/Opal/Myrtle/Amanda, kisses Jack, and just before she boards the plane..Adam lays a huge kiss on her!! It's sad that AMC dropped Brooke and Julia Barr!!!

Since it seems that David Canary's Adam Chandler is going to be the murder victim in AMC's latest sweeps this month, I hope that Brooke comes back for the funeral.

Brooke was the true love of Adam's life, and I think vice versa is true as well. There is no way AMC can justify not having Brooke at Adam's funeral.

I've watched AMC since 1970 with Tara, Phil and Chuck. Fun to watch as a child, but as an adult, my favorite character was Brooke. A shame they never allowed her character to find true love and live happily ever after. Now to dismiss her? Shame on ABC. I sorely miss her.

AMC has lost its loyal fan base of the 80's. With Jenny's departure, along with Brooke, not to mention Daisy . . . all my favorites vanished. They should bring them all back . . . back to the day when AMC was truly the tops of the soaps.

I think it's sick the way AMC chose to just dismiss this great character...I understand the economics of the soap world today but it could have been handled a lot better. I started watching in 1990 when we still had a lot of the greats and I find it hard to sit through an episode now...what a shame!!!

If AMC got rid of some people with the initials: CM, DV, Carmen,and BE and in turn have Brooke, Jamie, Skye, and Liza to come back it would be fantastic!! What do you guys think?

I loved Brooke. She left the show, because after 30 years of being a major player, AMC was downgrading her contract to only "Re-Occurring", meaning she would only come on now and then, every once in a while, with no guaranteed appearances, so it would be like she'd be less than a Supporting Player, even, and any hope of a major storyline basically gone forever. Once you go Re-occurring, it's unlikely you can go back to what you used to have.So, rather than waste her time making cameos, she left.
