  • Great ideas. Thanks for the vid

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • Thanks for the prep combo , Going to make some tomorrow .

  • Yea split pee a pain. I always found lent in the area to be the cause. Thanks for info.

  • Thanks for this Video!! Made a batch last night for supper and it was great! Here in the south we eat more red beans, white beans and black eye peas than any other type. I'll definitely add this to my storage. Quick to make and delicious. I added a little smoked deer sausage and onions and garlic from the garden to it to spice it up a bit. After my kids got over the green color, they loved it. Thanks again!

  • You should look up some recipes for Indian dal, which is basically this same concept, except it is usually made with red or yellow split peas, and has more spices. It is considered one of the most basic of all Indian foods. You can buy the stuff cheap at an Indian/Asian grocery store.

  • I can't tell you why, but I'm glad I'm not the only one it's happened to. :)

  • very helpful and pratical ideas. i appreciate your videos. i have seen trouble coming for many years and we have to be prepared. where there is no insight the people perish(bible). God bless you and yours. I'll be watching . thanks. Long Island prepper

  • you're saving lives - great work on all your stuff - thanks

  • Great Video!

  • Keep up the good work bro, thanks

  • Love the ideas of the bins. Just a thought of mine from when I camped abit more. Why not put in some tabasco, or Mrs. Dash. Mrs. Dash has many flavors and doesn't need to be refrigerated. A little flavor goes a long way!! Take it easy....

  • lol i thought the split peeee thing was the morning after love making .great thoughts on keeping a viarty of stuff in each bin

  • keep up the good videos BP

you are full of great ideas

do you have any idea how beef jerky will last when vac bagged?

    thank you

  • Great video! Doing the same thing. Just never made any sense to me to store a 5 gallon container full of just wheat, beans or rice. Good job, man keep it up.

  • :)

  • Thanks BP! Excellent point on storing variety bins.

  • Question from a newbi... Whats the shelf life of the pees and rice after putting them in vacuum bags

  • the idea of doing complete meals in each pack is great. I could also give one of these tote's with complete meals in it to family members that don't prep. I wish I had thought of this a long time ago oh well it's never to late to start prepping a little diffrent. LOL Thanks for the video

  • Making me hungry...good vid!

  • This is a great idea, thanks for posting!

  • I can't stop laughing!

  • Great idea especially the lighters whoever had to make a fire outside in a drizzle :P. NEVER thought about it how about a knife spoon or something in a bin? Haven't done any of this stuff yet, not criticizing just asking. Would you put anything like maybe a wooden spoon, in this. or would have a survival bag that you would grab first with the obvious stuff, Dutch oven, utensils etc or spread them in your "totes" ?

  • Too much rice causes "split pee syndrome" its a lil known fact that might help ya out ;)

  • Pinto beans/Refried beans & Spanish Rice, Black Bean soup w/Polenta, Lentils (dal) w/Rice, Red Beans & Rice, Red Bean Chili w/ Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Bean Stew with Barley, Chickpeas with Pasta, Split Peas & Rice or Polenta.... Man, they're all great, especially with a little olive oil (adds healthy fat to the protein and carbs) & variety of dried spices/bullion/miso to season them with... Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Italian. Forage for some fruit & veg and you're well fed! Thx 4 the great vid!

  • Great video, I like the mixed meals bin idea. Never tried split peas so guess that's on my list of foods to try. :) Thanks for sharing and take care.

  • Please hurry..before the SHTF...otherwise...I'm dead...just saying

    my brother....lol

  • LOL!!!!!!

  • Great ideas as usual. I can't wait fo your SHTF while you're at work series. It already has me thinking. (I have a choice of three bridges between me and home OR an extra 15-20 miles to go around.) I live in an Earth Quake prone area. Good things to think about ahead of time. Thanks.

  • Great info, I will also try adding in some bits of bacon from my stockpile of Yoder's canned bacon.

  • @GTVAlfaMan MMmmmmmm bacon!!!!!!

  • What no pasta in the bins? Why not vacum seal spaghetti I've had pounds of it stored for years and its lasted as long as the rice. Aren't you Italian? You look more Italian than Asian so your rice to pasta ratio needs to change.

  • @thereidss LMAO.... i know right!!!!

  • Love your vids...and I must say you are looking mean and lean like you didn't gain the Prepper 15 like the rest of us. haha

  • @hipkibby Hey thanks the kids keep me going

  • That does not look all that bad.... as for the split pee. it is usually a reflection of a "good time with the wife" the night before . ;)

  • @kary1982v6 Me tooo brother..lol

  • Excellent food prepping!

  • @MrNukinFutz Thanks

  • My local health food store has dehy-split pea soup in bulk. I got a few pounds and vacuum sealed them. Cheap and tasty. Also a great food for hiking trips!

  • @meatloafzombie dehy-split pea soup in bulk sounds good

  • What other breakfast meals do you store? Eating just oats for breakfast will get old fast. We've made up packets of pancakes, bannock bread, grits, rice with sugar, cinnamon toast, biscuits with gravy, even made a few packets of fixings for french toast.

  • @hallard069 i also have pancakes...the cinnamon toast sounds gooood ....Thanks

  • franks red hot sauce or Tony Chacheres famouse creole spice is nice too

  • @avianphlu5397 Thanks bro

  • Goya puts out a ham seasoning which would eliminate the salt and add some additional flavor... LOL Ham and any beans is a must down south not sure about up there

  • @SasyBecause Ham whats ham.....lol

  • Great advice for the mixed bins. I didn't think of that! It's the simple things the we often overlook.

  • @NorthSouthSurvival Hey rocco how you been brother sorry i did not get back to you i seen the vid and thank you!!!!!!..looks like your food preps are going good ill see you soon brother!!!

  • @NorthSouthSurvival My pleasure brother! Stay ready!!

  • My bathroom floor knows all about split pee..reminds me of a Benny Hill skit involving a flower water container and a tree.

  • Good Job BP.

Reminds me of a favorite from my Nana.......Polenta with gravy on top.....real simple SHFT Italian style.

Love your comment about drug addict milk and mentioning some kind of support for stacking your bins.

  • Very Nice! Great Stuff! Thank You!

  • i would like to here your philosophy for the cause and out come of the shtf ive bin around some third world countries and the people and countries aren't the monsters they are made out to be there just poor but very nice people if a ca laps does happen do you think Americans will just resort to violence and zombie like behaver or pull together and help each other pls explain your point of view and also why do you think a ca laps is imminent

  • 2 toilets best fix

  • Best fix 2 toilets

  • Good stuff, as usual! :-)

  • Great as Always.

  • Great idea! Thanks!

  • good idea on the mixing of the contents of each bin. throw some spices or condoment packs in each of the packs to add flavor and some variety. great vid

  • Let me throw out the argument of Plastic Bins versus Home Depot 5 Gallon buckets. I am torn on both now. Thanks BP.

  • Thank you for sharing your bin advice with us! I would never have thought of that! I just recently got into vaccume sealing and you are giving me some good ideas. Again, THANK YOU!

  • cheap, healthy, filling meal, ha what more can a college guy ask for, maybe i'll add some chicken. i'll make some tomorrow

  • Good info like always, love those Goya products.

  • @pointman201 Thanks

  • Useless trivia from cernunnos5. You know the ryme,

Peas porrage hot.Peas porrage cold. Peas porrage in the pot 5 days old.

This comes from dried peas being a peasants staple. A perpetual stew that was kept going on the fire in a large pot where new ingreadiants were added as it began to go down. Other vegies and meat were added as found and it was kept food safe by continualy cooking it. One more useless factoid alert. I think they will store longer whole than split.

  • @cernunnos5 Hey thanks for the info brother

  • ★★★★★

  • excellent video brother. what the hell is that in that bowl...lol You the man!!!!! Looks great and very helpful to people....

  • @EastCoastPrepper Thanks brother

  • Split pea...no thanks....But I love the bin thing, and the helping family.

  • @BLACKHEARTSE7EN helping is y we prep thanks

  • Split peas are whole naturaly, they skin them and then run them through a machine to split them so they cook faster. They have a natural split but just need a little help.

  • @danman911 thanks

  • Hey dude, thanks for the information and videos have enjoyed watching. You take care my freind and just to let you know, at least i watch and think they are great. Take care buddy and have a great day.

  • @ewtoutdoors Hey thanks brother!!!!!

  • Great vid brother, God Bless

  • @NewAmericaNow Thanks brother i love your stuff keep up the great work

  • I was looking at that soup and said to my self, "self, wouldnt a ham hock be good with that?"

Looks good, and you are spot on about having mixed foods in the bins.

Food fatigue would suck, I store many spices and mixes in my preps to try to fix that.

I get the split pees too..I aim and shoot, and it goes 2 ways and neither is straight..then I gotta clean up the bathroom.

In SHTF, you will probably pee outside, so thats not a worry.

I know I will. Cant waste the water on that.

  • @desertprepper1LMAO brother

  • A ham base bouillon cube would be great to throw in the split pea. The bins are a good idea. How about a couple of bags of dried fruit in there? You could put it in oatmeal, put it in bread, our just enjoy a piece of something sweet. Since you have children, I'd also vacuum seal a small bag of individually wrapped, hard candy. Food fatigue is real and you've got to guard against it. I like the little first aid kit. How about a bottle of multivitamins? Look forward to the new series.

  • @katzcradul Hey thanks for the input
