@googleboughtmee 450mbps is the transfer rate. its not download rate. like if you transfer files between your computers in the same network it transfers at 450mbps. dont think many people even use it except in work palces

it's a wireless device to connect to the internet. my guess is that since it's such a small device, it's aimed towards laptops or other portable computers with mediocre built-in wireless capability. this device enhances that wireless capability exponentially, allowing the user to make use of the household's better wireless network.

as to all that funky dual-band 450mbps stuff you're going to have to do some research yourself as i have no idea what they are.
