tracks on this equipment mix their selves which is a rip off of the "DJ" tag
you can work effects & sounds on that impressively...but can rock 2 cdj's with djm mixer all doing it manually on your live set i wonder.....just a thought!
hi, what exactly are you doing with the jogwheel at the end? Can it be used to scroll through songs to find a good cue point (as with turntables or cdj's ? i hope i'm a bit clear... cheers
You can assign the jog wheel along with every other knob or fader on the board to ANY control in ableton live. the possibilities are literally endless.
I don't see you with a legion of fans and a name that's known by many: get out there and show him how it's done, THEN open your fat mouth about what's "impressive".
I don't agree. You can think of it as a portable studio. It is not the classical "two players and mixer" set up. With these artifacts you are really performing live and not just playing records.
This is great. Looks like this work is a lot of fun. To go w/the flow at the show, as at each particular moment the live mix shows just how you yourself feel, & what you feel like doing to tweak the sound & move the crowd.
wowwww hahahahaha

Can you do this?

Didn't think so. Junkie XL isn't a DJ. He's a Musician/Producer. He might "DJ".. but what he's really doing.. is producing live.
Look up how Deadmau5 feels about the ' "DJ" tag '. He refuses being a DJ. Because HE ISN'T! He's a producer, with a live setup.

@thundertrunksno1 well, a dj should be able to rock 2 technics with djm mixer in my opinion. And cdj's are a rip off.

I think you are even better off, if you use the APC 40 which is around $500/400€

sorry but the sounds after 0:50 sound like a big mess not like a cool set. probably the effect when someone shows his equipment.
myztic123 2 years ago 2
just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad. tom just wants to show the ability of contoling several effects using the xone:3d.
it's a nice intro...

el equipo en estos dias ya no es una limitacion, una simple pc hace de todo, lo unico que hace falta es imaginación y talento.
1999sickness 3 years ago
pero necisitas tambien algun cosa para contral la ordenador. Y asi que el Allen and Heath o algun otro contrelador de MIDI es muy util.
Pero yo tambien creo los mas importante es el imaginacion y talento. lo siento para mi espanol.
