  • I just love David Jason... Fantastic actor.

  • I'm a 13 year old girl, and I LOVE this show. I used to watch it constantly when I was little(r). Just proof that it doesn't matter how old a show is, or how old a viewer is, good shows can still be popular.

  • perfik

  • BEST SHOW EVER!

  • I'm currently rehearsing the part of Mr Charlton in a local production.

  • I'm buying a house with the baby of this show :)

  • Thank you for posting this program, I have long forgot about it. This is the England that should always be.

  • love love love this wonderful show!!

  • my college tutor edited this

  • the complete series is wonderful and hilerious!

  • The Waltons - with attitude !

  • I always thought that Pop Larkin was a 1950's Countryside version of Del Boy as as both characters do share similar personalities. The only difference is that Pop Larkin is a 1950's rural large family man who is very devoted to them with a steady working class income whilst Del Boy is a urban modern day Batchelor having to take care of his two relatives and selling non dangerous dodgy merchandise and getting into non dangerous dodgy dealings to earn some form of money to make ends meet.

  • An outstanding program. Splendid in every detail.

  • purfic, love this so much, thank you!!!

  • I love the opening theme tune! So sweet!

I also remember seeing Philip Franks in the first ever episode on ITV3 and then seeing him in Heartbeat the next day!

Does anyone know where I can find the second part of the episode 'The Best Days of our Lives'? I was out when that episode was on then went to watch it on IPlayer but it just kept playing adverts over and over again! If anyone can help I would be deeply grateful. Thank you x

  • I love the show and wish they would make a new series.

  • PUURFEC!! :)

  • am hoping this is the episode where Ma asked what people want to eat, and they all come up with something different, and she just shrugs and says "as long as I know" and proceeds to make everything. I always get hungry with I read the books.

  • @321womble LOL AND SHES A VEGETARIAN IN REAL LIFE TOO !!!

  • Thanks so much for posting, been checking for this for ages.

    Catherine Zeta Jones - ZING!

  • What a lovely life, I wish I had a life life like this, nothing to worry about. Everything is perfect isn't it? David Jason a comedy legend.

  • I enjoyed this programme when first shown. However i have a question - why are they driving a left hand vehicle in England?

  • It's an old Yank troop transport truck left there after the war. As flash as Yanks are, I don't think they went to the expense of changing which side the steering wheel was on in every country they occupied. Sorry not occupied, I mean fought in during WWII. We had lots of gear from both Jerry and Yank scattered around the place after the war. A farmer down the road from us discovered two complete Messerschidmts and loads of ammo in the side of the hill. :o)o:

  • oops meant of may not in may haha =P xx

  • i aint seen darling in buds may for years..gr8 to see it again on here :-)

  • I saw this when it was first shown in 1991. One question - why do they have left hand drive vehicle in an English setting@

  • This is one of the few TV shows to be better than the books that it was based on! :) I love the Darling Buds, thanks for posting!

  • My all time favourite! Thankyou for posting.
