  • champ car = much more interresting than indy

  • It looks like you were sitting where my father and I would usually sit, and about the same level, too. Great video!

  • Announcer Brice Flanders... a Legend.

  • This video should really be called, "The Last 3 Minutes of Open Wheel Racing in America"

Thank you Tony George, you dickhead!!!

  • What a sad sad day. I was over at turn 6 watching the big screen when they switched over to that cunt dannyca. Then someone in the stands said "i thought she raced last year." ugh unbelievable.

  • best cars ive ever seen race.

  • You should've heard Champ Car/CART at their peak in 99, 2000. approx. 950!

  • @PeterMayer well said!!!

  • I love the way the turbochargers sounded! I can feel it on my skin!

NA=Naturally Aspirated? How about Not Alive or Not Applicable.

  • So when you get that ticket is that your assigned seat?

Or is it a general admission thing and you are free to walk wherever?

  • I don't know. Usualy on roadcourses you can go and sit wherever you want although usuasly you'll have to pay more to get grandstand tickets or paddock passes. It all depends on who's getting the money. I go to a motorcycle road race for the national championship on a streetcircuit near Oss every year and they allow you to go wherever you want including th paddock for €15.- and charge another €5.- for grandstand seating but that doesn't deliver anything extra.

  • Yeah, I go to Road America and with a Paddock pass you are free to go anywhere and they have grandstands that are first come first serve. They are pretty empty these days. I was just wondering about Long Beach becuase it looks like it might be assigned seating.

I couldn't watch a road race from one spot, it would suck

  • I have seen a map for the race this year showing bridges for certain ticket groups so it's certainly not completely free seating.

Anyway you're right, watching a roadrace from one place is boring though I must say that at the forementioned track I was standing at the same location for a long time and saw more than enough. I get many comments from ovalophiles saying they can't stand watching so little of a race at a roadcourse. So smallminded.
