  • Primos little big roar has 6 calls and it doesn't sound like crap

  • If i burp will they come towards me?

  • i went hunting and a small buck blew at us and used the doe call, he came back and moved to get binoculars he ran of used doe grunt again and came 20 yards from me.

  • I learned a lot now I can't wait to go hunting.

  • Suck the helium out the balloon and try it

  • You dont sound like an expert. Do you really sell videos like this?

  • thanks for making this video

  • I bought a quad grunter off ebay 2 days ago and I got it today and its worth the money And thanks for the video man

  • What brand of grunt call is that?

  • Thanks man. This video helped me a lot.

  • Who makes this deer call and what is it called i really want it thanks

  • i have the exact same shirt on and the exact same call when i watched this...small world eh??

  • i like the heart balloon on the ceiling fan

  • how much are these

  • If you can see the animal pending on thickness of woods, and they don't pay any mind to your grunt call you might try rattling alittle to see if that might work.

  • good vid man/

  • I got to try this for the first time the other day and it was FREAKING HILARIOUS to watch them get so confused. Mrs. Doe in my back yard was going crazy because she never saw a red car make Estrus Bleats before.

  • This is one of the most funniest videos ive ever seen

  • I just got a deer call and i cant get the barrel off to be able to move the "O" ring. What could be wrong?

  • @johndeereboy508 It could be that the grunt call you have does not have a "O" ring. If your sure it does the tubes dont just pull off... you have to twist.

  • @johndeereboy508 wrong call bub its gotta be a quad grunter

  • I have used a lot of different grunt calls but have never found one that sounds exactly like a buck grunting anyone know of a very natural sounding call let me know.

  • @rep1989 The Flip Call from D3 Game Calls has a real nice sound and you can use both ends of the call so you don't have to keep pulling your call apart to switch sounds, which is really nice.

  • What variant of a deer call would you use to call in a doe?

  • I mainly turkey hunt i use to deer hunt but if you dont have food plots and stuff its hard to bag a decent buck with simply calls .. and i dont have the patience haha .. turkey calls are really easy to master .. the hardest though would be the diapraghm call

  • I like my flextone calls It has 4 different calls and a weezing call for $20 well worth the money Thanks for the video!

  • The Grunt Call I use now is called the Flip Call from D3 Game Calls. Which you can blow out of both ends so you dont have to keep undoing the end to change from buck to doe bleats... do one right after the other.

  • Can you message me what kind of grunt call you have again?? Please? I really need a grunt call and that one looks nice and pretty good to use.

  • I have had a big six pointer walk by me a few times, but just out of range. What would be a good call to bring him in closer? I have a grunter similar to the one in the video, but I'm not sure what would be effective.

  • Hes blowing on his unit =)

  • Wow, my dad and I have been hunting together for a little over 5 years and this was our first year getting a grunt caller. We did no research on how to use the product prior to going out, therefor we didn't use it. Thanks to this video we may have much better luck next year.

    Happy Huntings!

  • i hunt in mid michigan when is the best time to use the grunt call???

  • Good video!

  • I have the same exact tube. I'm also the world's worst hunter but am persistant. Going out in 10 minutes with some doe in estrus urine.... wish me luck and thanks for a great video!

  • What do you think about the Buck roar from primos?

  • man you suck get a life you loser...

  • @kowtow8 What was that for? If this helps someone, great, if not... What business of it is yours? I don't mean to offend, but that seems like a pretty harsh comment. If you don't like the video, fine, no reason to bash the maker of it... If you aren't pleased, make one of your own, then maybe you can help someone instead of throwing out comments that have pretty much no use.

  • @kowtow8 You're a clown.

  • i have a primos grunt call and i used it a couple days to call in a nice 8pt but didnt have my bow, i know hes in the area because theres scrapes and rubs all in a line in the woods where he came out, i want to get a second look at this buck, any suggestions?

  • @cumminsboy071 Not much more then to follow the tips ive given and every situation is different. Good luck with your hunting.

  • @NorthernviewOutdoors thanks alot buddy

  • to save you the time reading comments all your vids are great

  • when a buck grunts what is the buck saying? like is he saying "hello"? or what..cause last season i was in my stand and i heard him grunt and i tryed to call him out of the thicket but he wouldn't come out. so im wondering what it ment. thanks

  • what time in the morning do you think i should start using my grunt call? cause it takes me about 10 mins to get to my tree. and im usually up in my tree b4 5:30. so would you say around 5:45?

  • @underroathfreak I would wait 15 to 20 mins. after you are able to see... if you start grunting before daylight you could bring in a buck but you wouldnt be able to see him to shoot or see how close he is to try and hold him in the area. Its best to wait to when you can see

  • Grunt calls are affective all season because When the deer hear another deer they just assume that the area that the grunt came from is safe because its already occupied by another deer.

  • yeah deer are a curious animal just run a chainsaw for about an hour wait for about 40min u'll see one checking ya out had it happen a few times

  • when should i use a deer bleat and when to use a buck call? also when should i use buck urine and a doe urine?

  • awesome video i just wish this dude would stop saying "you know" every 2 seconds

  • very informative..thanks for the upload

  • that helped me so much

  • sweet video man, i hope this helps with my gun and bow season!

  • Why do people who thinking hunting is wrong respond to these videos? Do you even know what happens to deer in the wild, they get chased down by coyotes and get eating alive I mean guts hanging while still alive be chewed up. Second if there is no predators they will eat all their food and start to starve to death. Get educated before you come out saying hunting is wrong.

  • very nice video

  • @jumpthenoob Thank you

  • should i try to call very loudly when i am trying to call in 2-3 year buck or would they be able to hear it if it isn't very loud

  • @jtschid0910 it all depends on how far the deer is away from you if they are right up on you... you dont want you call...50 yard and out your ok and just blow into it normal dont blow into it too hard or it will not sound right.

  • where to buy that thing

  • @FranciscoSRO2 .... you can prob get the call at any outdoors shop or you can get a good game call from D3 Game Calls.... which works the same way and uses both ends of the call to make sounds.

  • how do i get to my o-ring

  • @gatorchamps09 just pull it apart, it wont break

  • im a beginner hunter. thanks for the info. good video!!!

  • hi. i cant get to my o ring for some reason. do u have any tips to get it out? reply asap. please.

  • if its like my knight and hale there is no o ring...

  • well the top that you blow into should just twist off if your grunt call uses the o ring system.

  • a few weekends ago in northern Michigan near Houghton lake a monstrous 10 point was seen. since then many many people have tried to get him, i was amazed to have been one of the few to see him, and he was beautiful. unfortunately i had caught buck fever and lost my cool enough where he heard me and ran. I'm only 14 and this would be my second deer i really hope to get him this weekend, thanks so much for the help, happy holidays ^^

  • Thanks for your comments and hope you have a productive time out there and good luck and be safe.

  • hi! happy belated thanksgiving, sorry to bug you again. i still havent seen my 10 point, but i was wondering about something when i was trying to use my buck call. you said to use it 3 times, but after you complete the three, how often do you call again? like 5 minutes between sets of three?

  • I normally wait 15 to 20 mins between sets and you can call up to 5 times you dont have to be limited to 3 hits on your call, but when you call just wait a couple seconds after each hit. If you like more tips we do have a dvd out that is loaded with tips.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • thanks, but one last question. for how long do you use the call? how ever long u want? like how i know u hav to wait 20 mins but how long can u keep using it then waiting then using it?

  • Cool, I'm going to take it to work lol. Great vid 5*s!

  • shouldn't have put the videos on while you were using the call because you wouldn't want to do it as much as you made it look like you would.. I'm only saying cause you'll give first time callers the wrong idea

  • Hey! I just bought that same Quad Grunter Plus 30 minutes ago, came home and found this video. I've seen grunt calls work before, but never used one myself, so I did a search for it here on YouTube...and whala! Thanks for puttin' up the video!

  • good video

    thanks for the tips!

  • Congrates on the doe, its good that these tips have helped you out, I hope you get a look at that 10 pointer this year, best of luck to you.

  • would a fawn bleat be good for this time of year...im going out on the youth hunt this weekend..and i would like to shoot a doe so i can go after that 10-pointer i saw last year in western wisconsin =)

  • Yes fawn bleats are really good to attract does this early in the season. I hope you have luck this season.

  • You can try the HS Calls website, I dont know what it is off the top of my head, the call I use now is called the Flip Call from D3 Game Calls and you can use both ends without having to always removing the tube, and its a really good bargain. If you want to look at it go to their website

    Awesome Call

  • does it work

  • nice really cool

  • So when you start callin how long do you wait until you call again? Also should you wait till the suns coming up to start or is it ok while its still dark? Lastly is there any specific order of calls that you use?

  • 1 hour before sunrise, 1 hour after sunset.

  • I normally do 15 to 20 mins apart, and I would wait till the sun is just starting to crack. Our team is now using a really good call from D3 Game Calls called the Flip Call which has a doe bleat at one end and a Grunt call at the other and the sound comes out the center. The call makes a great sound and I don't think you could go wrong with.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • how much are the call things

  • 10$

  • that is a really shitty call. i hate that call. the best call ive ever used is the buck roar from primos. i grunted up a beautiful 12 point and now hes on my wall

  • We have fawns and to me thats not how it sounded? It even more hi pitched. we had one doing it so loud someone else came out HEHE. But the other ones sounded good. I just want it to see what happens. of course ill do it on the balcony.

When i do my fawn call the mom actually looks at me and then looks at her fawn. most of the time. I want one to see what happens. Thanks

  • I managed to lure in a doe with the use of imitating a bleet call with my mouth.

  • Hey thats pretty good, if I would try that they would run away and never come back lol.

  • where can I buy this grunt call now I live in Poland

  • You can try the HS Calls website, I dont know what it is off the top of my head, you can search for it and find it, or maybe ebay would be another idea.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • cus i see in the video you bringing your mouth to the call and calling

  • those are clips of some of our hunts just to show the deer that would make those sounds. I would doubt that all the viewers would like to see me just blowing into a grunt call lol. so i spiced it up alittle.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • were those real clips of grunting at deer or were you grunting on camera and showing clips of deer

  • Thanks for the info. I heard that certain series of grunts or doe bleats mean something to the deer. Have you heard anything on bleat patterns and how to use them or not use them to scare away the deer?

  • If you use a bleat can or something close you just need not to use it alot. During the rut and i see a buck about 75 yrds out or so and you tried your grunt call and nothing try it again and add the bleat can once and see if you get the deers attenction.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • Thanks Dan, I had heard from my brother, a Forest Ranger at Shawnee Nation Forest, that certain series/patterns of Doe Bleats can attract does and bucks or warn them away. That being the case I wanted to ensure I did not use the pattern or series of bleats that warned them away. Are you able to comment on bleats that are warnings to deer?

  • maybe it was the camera but i think that it was too loud, over powering i mean

    but it was good

  • great tips! thanks

  • Damn, I needs take to more practice on grunt call and (In can) too...

  • Hey awesome video. Thanks alot for taking the time to post a useful video. One question tho there are all kinds of signs of deer in and around my woods but im not seeing many.. I dont understand that. Any help?

  • Well it could be pending on when you hunt..the morning or the evening your just missing them, or they are coming in the middle of the night and you dont have much of a chance. To help you see when the deer are coming in you should try a trail cam. They are very helpful.

    Dan Long

  • Hey great video...I have a question. How long should i make the duration of my grunts when using the young buck and doe grunt? I also own an HS Quad grunter and its a drem for me,But i can never figure out those two grunts or the duration.

  • Do the calls about 3 mins or less and pause about 3-5 seconds between each grunt that should do it.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • if they are interested they will come see what your doing.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • Nice video. Ive got a question, I know there is a big buck in the area I am hunting, what would be a good call to try to get him in to my food plot?

  • There is a lot of differnt was to get a buck on a food plot...but not all of them are calls. You can use a doe or buck decoy pending on the rut or pre-rut and combine that with your grunt call or doe bleat should work. Early in the season you can put C-more Bucks from Evolve on your food plot to bring the deer in to start eating. And of course you can also use your sents in the area to also try to bring them in the area. But just calling normally..grunts...rattles...bleat Continued..

  • hey i just bought a grunt call where you can adjust the o-ring on the reed to make different calls like: adult buck, tending grunt, young buck, doe grunt, doe bleat, doe distress bleat, fawn bleat, and young fawn distress it also came with a rattlebag. i was wandering what call i should mix with the rattle.

also will any of those bring in a doe because where i hunt its earn-a-buck

    thanks

  • You can use the young or the adult buck grunt with the rattle, the buck grunt as well as the doe grunt can bring in a doe. Early in the season a fawn distress is really good, but since its late in the season, and a lot of the fawns have grown they will not react as they would early in the season.

Good luck to ya let us know how you do.

  • my fist buck is bigger than anyone that you have on your wall

  • great

  • good video! your a good teacher.

  • :) thanks man

  • hey great video man...one thing you missed and I can never find anywhere...how long should you pause in between grunts? Should I only use mature buck/trophy buck on my band for big bucks. Will a younger buck not respond to a more mature call?

  • Just a short pause between grunts is fine. Normally what I have found out is the I use a young buck grunt that way the small one come and it will bring a big one in...thinking what is this young buck think he's doing in my area. They are normally right on that.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • If a young buck hears a mature call or the call of a "trophy buck", he may say "I'm not headed over there! He sounds huge." You are better off using the young buck so young bucks will come try adn compete and the "trophy bucks" will come chase whoever is on their turf

  • wat kind of grunt call is that please reply and the cost please

  • It is the H.S. Calls Quad-grunter as for the price I dont know its a couple yrs. old but a very good call check online to see the current prices.

  • nevermind u already anwsered it thanks

  • I use the H.S True talker. I really think thats probably the best deer call money can buy. You don't have to pull it apart to get different sounds.. Beginner hunters don't under estimate how powerful it can be useing a grunt call and doe in heat urine during the rut!!

  • Have u ever used the primos buck roar or any of there can calls??

    GREAT TIPS thanks

  • Yes I do use the Primos doe can calls they are very good, I have never used the buck roar. The grunt call I have I've used since I started hunting when I was 17, and still works so I never had to switch. Plus a good thing to do during the rut is the use the can call and put some short grunts from the buck call in after it the simulate a buck chasing a doe, another good tip to try.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • is the primos doe bleat anygood please comment back

  • Im a 15yr old bow hunter and im about to hunt the rut, do you know any methods i could use to get the further distanced bucks attention using either scents and perhaps rattling because i live in minnesota and am hunting thick woods all the time with an occasional farmed cornfield. thanx.

  • Scents and rattling is good to bring the bucks from a far distance...depending on the deer signs in the area.. hunting a down corn field durning the rut is a good idea the does will come out to feed and you know where you find does they will not be far behind.

    Dan Long

    Northernview Outdoors

  • Do you ever use those Primos can calls? Im thinkin about getting me a couple of those if they work. Even if they dont bring in a buck maybe I can get me a coyote with it.
