Jeff is qualified to sing everywhere.

He is full of power and has such a vocal volume.His voice has all ups and downs. No matter, wether melodic rock or heavy metal or something else, he touched my soul. I just love him.

@jpb219 your maybe right, but that doesn't mean arnel isn't on the same level of Steve. Arnel is amazing as fuck. Steve Perry is a Legend. And this isn't even from just a fan. I was invited on their tour in 08 and Arnel's presence as Journey's very valuable Steve Perry replacement was obvious. The story of getting him is awesome and he's a keeper. He might not be as angelic as Steve, but he's got just about everything in between and is very majestic and alpha. Just like my review!

Guys, stop the comparison who's better or not. Steve Perry is irreplaceable. You cannot replace legacy nor history for that matter. These SP descendants are not merely relieving the legacy but continuing it! Arnel being the youngest of the SP descendants would one day pass the torch as well as Neil Schon will. The journey legacy will never end!

Jeff was the lead singer of Journey for about 12 months during 2006/2007. There is a bootleg of one of the shows called Journey - Turn The Page, recorded in July 2006.

@muzzreen Schon and the boys decided (mostly Schon) that they wanted a Perry soundalike. They fired Jeff via letter from their manager. Jeff actually started hearing rumors of it while the band was on break and he was on a short tour with his band Talisman. If i'm not mistaken he heard it on the radio while he was in Europe with Talisman. When he called to find out if the rumors were true he got a letter in response. Pretty shitty. I met Jeff years ago and he's a very down to earth, nice person.

@MsMercury Yeah, super fucking shitty. I can't stand Neal Schon now. I've known Jeff since 1982 or 83. He's the nicest guy. And he had a damn band with Neal called SoulSirkus. WTF is Neal doing firing someone he's supposed to be friends with and have a history with in a letter? Neal's an ass as far as I'm concerned. Jeff's got one of the two best voices in rock EVER, he and Dio. I love all of Jeff's Journey songs. I always liked Journey a lot, but I love Jeff's voice.

@jdarrah17 Neil is a putz. Have you seen his latest drama? The nude pic he sent to some girl that got spread all over the net? What an idiot! I heard Jeff took them to court and got a settlement. Good for him! I hope he took him to the cleaners. He said Neil was like a brother. How shitty to stab your "brother" in the back. Jeff's a helluva guy, very nice. Total class. Never said a bad word about Journey. And yes, one of the best voices out there. He deserves a bigger career.
