That was a very inspiring video, Bri. I've always dreamed of breeding reptiles and you have helped me understand alot of what goes into starting out in the buisness. And I agree wholeheartidly that your animals come before the dollar. When my Savannah monitor died suddenly at the age of three I had her autopsied to make sure it wasn't contagious to my other sav. The cost of the autopsy was over 3 times what I paid for her, but worth every penny to know my other sav is safe.

He told me it was one of the hardest bets he had to do. The cinnamon will soak up all the saliva in your mouth making it hard to swallow. That is funny all those hatchlings strike. Two trains of thought there. One is defensive and the second is striking for prey. The second is natural imprinting for baby snakes to strike at anything since at that age they have crazy appetites and its natures way of getting them as much chance at meals as needed to get off to a good start. Calm way down as adults. All my hatches strike at anything that moves in their enclosure, eat every day if i let them.

Great video Brian and awesome information on genetics and breeding. Really great advice for people planning to get into breeding. It takes work, money and a lot of time invested to graduate from a hobbyist to a breeder. I'd have to say my two best investments as a hobbyist has been making my own enclosures and breeding and raising my own feeders.
