Custom config and custom TOD for level. Only reason I played in slowmotion mode (fixed_timestep) is that I wanted to show the great animations effects and detail during combat. Otherwise it all happens so fast it is not really appreciated.

It of course ran really smooth upwards 40-50fps. :)

Mine two yeards ago went for 1250, it's a watercooled Q6600, at 3,60GHz, on a EVGA 750 motherboard. 4GB low-latency G.Skills at 1000Mhz and two 8800GT overvolted and overclocked, also watercooled. 890Watts of PSU and 1000GB of HDD.

Last year around autumn it was roughly 1050$ excluding monitor, case, mouse, keyboard and headphones.

Config file named "autoexec.cfg" goes into your...

"...\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis"

Folder. Whenever you launch the game the commands inside the "autoexec.cfg" file will take priority.

Inside "autoexec.cfg" you can add new commands or change values for current commands.

When adding new commands it is important to use uppercase letters where needed. The commands needs to be spelled exactly as they are coded to the CryEngine, that is with proper upper case big letters etc.

Roughly. This particular map and those settings (ultra high) you can and be above 30fps. Of course I assume you don't go above 1440x900/1280x1024 res.

I can send you some TODs for singleplayer, map and configs that are roughly high perfomance but looks fantastic with or without my TODs.

Crysis has in very high velocity object motionblur of high quality. Like nothing you have ever seen. Forget the ugly fake object motionblur from KZ2. Crysis does the real deal thing.

I'll add that the video is not edited in any way. Only converted from FRAPS video format to xvid format to have a small enough video file size to upload to Youtube. Conversion only slightly darkened the video, but just slightly.

It is the custom config and map. The computer specs just diktates the perfomance you can achieve (framerate + resolution). :)

No unless they redesign it and drastically reduce graphic tech used aswell as other tech parts. The "Super Computer" stuff is just marketing fluff to attract buyers. Especially heavy during launch of a console.

I use my own config, this custom map (not mine except the beta TOD). To slow down time you enter in the console command prompt

fixed_time_step 0.016666

You could of course enter a higher/lower value for speedup/slowdown!
