  • if moneys a bt tight and with xmas on top of us now id recomend making clothes for these dolls even little kids clothes from thrift stores cut up and sewn to fit the dolls or knit them sweaters [im doing that plus heats and scarfs socks and gloves]and even making things like Cell phones or i pods or Nintendo ds for them that saves a lot of money

  • hi Laura im a noob too to the BJD world but i jumped in at the deep end i bought 2 dolls an angel of dreams tiny hes about the size of your doll but a little fatter lol and a DOD BJD oh boy hes huge both have silver hair and are brothers and im looking to add to my new little family think they want asister lol but word of warning about these dolls their very addictive you will want more cos i do

  • Hey it might be me but did you put a skin head on a white body?

  • i am a noob too

  • Boring

  • 1:40 we were waiting for that girly anime squeee! lol

  • I'm a noob too xD nice chobits ears now I wanna read holic xD I'm gonna get the 27cm with eye holes and a red wig with light green eyes

  • I to am a newby so I need some of your fancy ear hats

  • Ya well mines 56 cm wait what are we measuring

  • I to am a newby I

  • My first dollie was a Garden of Dolls PpoPpo I named Rika. She's only 23cm.

  • I have a 27cm obitsu, she was my first one too, so don't feel bad. They're a really good start. I honestly like obitsus more than volks dollfies. Type in compare Volks to Obitsu in the youtube search and you'll see why; they're extremely floppy!!!

  • it is true though that there are bjds made of vinyl or plastic. as long as they have BALL-JOINTS like the name BJD indicates, it is a BJD. However, some communities like DenofAngels deem any BJD that is not resin off-topic. But as long as they work on ball-joints and not pivots they are BJDs.

  • I've gotten my Volks doll, like about 5 month ago... She's a YoSD and was pre-own, I think I'm like her 4th owner... And she wasn't cheap too.

  • @retrogirlblue76 YoSD are my favorite. I got one second hand too. She was so expensive but worth it! <3

  • o3o obitsu's arent bjds since they arent ball joint... they use pivots and stuff... :(

    aww

Dont worry. It took me 3 weeks of research to finally figure that out.

  • unfortunately Obitsu are not really BJD, they do not have strings.. but I understand I was a N00b.. and thought they were at one point too I had obitsu as well

  • You don't seem too exited here.

  • Chii ears! :D

And that doll is awesome. x3

  • Haha, shes pretty :-) even without a wig, eyes, or clothes.... I am planning on getting a slim male obitsu body, and a head with elf ears. A LONG bright blue wig, and cool red and brown eyes, with a black cat-like pupil :-) I hope to order him tonight :-) I can sow, so I will just make him a cute outfit. I have one doll with a hujoo body and obitsu head. Hes on like 8 1/2 in tall though :-( My obitsu will be 27cm too ^_^ EEEEEPPPP! I really want a 60cm, but there $200, and my total is $70 so....

  • @spentellit I actually decided on getting a LONG bright red wig, and a LONG black one

  • I just ordred my doll from bobobie.com- they have small and large dolls for amazing prices, shipping takes awhile though but I got a 27cm girl w/ faceup and eyes included for $110- she is just as amazing as the volks I have seen.- hope this helps you :).

  • i agree volks beats the crap outta my money

  • @BloodyPrimula could you give me a link to volks?

  • get those things of your ears DX

  • im a newbie too XD but i have a bobobie tiah and im getting my volks dollfie dream in a few days X3 i cant waiitt<3

  • I am actually waiting for my first obitsu doll to come in the mail she is also a 27cm one. But darn it I like could not get the wig but I did get eyes and an outfit. Oh boy I can't wait!!!!! I shall name her Iris! I will either give her black hair that looks like mine or red hair. She has green eyes. Oh man so excited!

  • I don't know if you could really call me a newbie any more... I've been into BJDs for over a year now and I've done some really extensive research on them (I still can't believe my mother still thinks it's only a phase at this point) sadly I don't own a BDJ of my own yet because most of them cost an arm and 2 legs and I only have $7.30 in my "BJD funds" and I have no job... I'll get my hands on one eventually! but that has to wait till after Youmacon

  • I will be

(well.. I AM a nembie..I already bought her..just cant have her 'til Christmas) a newbie on Christmas to! :D But I adopted my BJD from a friend on Flickr...so she comes with a faceup, wig, eyes, and clothes already XD

    She's and X2 Gloria, and she's 44cms tall! :D Her name is Stormy! :D

  • im gonna be a newbie to ....eeeeeeeeeepp getting one for christmas yes ...but she is 58cm nd she is a morphoa from dollzone and she is perfect

  • @onigiriRiceball93

    O.O you're getting morphoa?! I'm jealous! XD;;; she's beautiful!!!

  • hehe I also have a Morphoa and I named her Mikan. ^_^

  • well i think the name depends on how you are going to decorate her like if you are going to put golden colours call her amber or summer or autum and if you are going to pick light colours like white and blue mabe winter

  • dont worry shes beautiful and im happy for u i dont have one yet but i will this chismas but she will be perfect maybe she can loook like CHI but yeah so bye and good luck^^

  • AND!, i love your Chi ears!,,.....they are her ears right?!

  • IM FINALLY GETTING MY FIRST OBITSU DOLL!!!!!!!!! YYYEEESSSS! iv'e spent $60 on it and my nana had to pay $10 dollars! wich equals $70 dollars! its a 25 cm doll and she's gonn'a have red anime eye's and long red wine hair ,..and im going to make her gothic cloths! SSQQQUUEEEEEE! I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!

  • oh wow... i didnt know those came plain...(no eyes hair, ect)

  • Silly me! >:O I do now! Bwahahaha...ooh to be a complete an uder newbie...tehehe

  • yeah my dream is to be rich too.........*cryes*im not even close to being a newby! i cant even afford a 25.00 doll!

  • The Volks versions aren't that much more :3 Though IMO the bodies are :P kinda floppy and not as good an Obitsu. So, getting an Obitsu was a good choice :3

  • im so happy for youi just ordered my first BJD a bobobie apollo last week so ya good luck with your doll!!!

  • ill make a vidoe for you and other newbies (even though im no bjd king or anything) i hope i can help :) ask me anything anytime

  • Congrats on your new doll, Obitsus are awesome, but they're not ball jointed dolls.

  • i think she knows

if you notice at 1:05 she said obitsu and bjd journey.

  • hey,

    i liked the chii ears:P

i also like your obitsu doll im newbie 2 by the way

im kinda making my own bjd and im also like nagging my moms ears off for wing from dollzone:D

i do have the money (no im not rich,,,its an insurance thing)

but she wont let me buy him...

o well.....o and what tou should do with her is like this kinda cat impersinated caracter

because she looks like she stepped out of an anime i think it would look cute!^^

(if you havent already decorated her:P)

  • Nice video and ears! :D

    Good luck and hugs!

  • lol i liked the ears i think you should call her either Claire, Susan, Ying or Omi

  • technically its still a bjd because every thing is jointed

  • But it's not BALL jointed. It's just...jointed. It's just a JD. Not even the Dollfie Dreams qualify as BJDs (despite being made by Volks.)

  • You have very unusual shaped ears

  • @mebirdo their Persocom ears!

Its from an anime series, Chobits <3333

  • You know that's not a real BJD, right?

  • @obitsu1 Yes it is, its just not a strung one. Some people consider them not to be, and others do. But its made in asia, and has b all joints - ASIAN BALL JOINTED DOLL.

  • @spentellit

obitsu dolls are not BJDS. make some research. BJDs are made out of resin not plastic or vinyl.

  • @MartahisHeartless Sorry, but man! It took you long enough to reply! And I did do some research, a while ago, and there not bjds, but there still cool :-) I actually got my first larger bjd about a month ago :-)

  • @MartahisHeartless Oh, and ever heard of Dollfie dreams, or 60cm obitsus? They ARE considered bjds. Just not the 27cm or smaller obitsus, so don't tell me I am the one who needs to do the research. There are plenty of vinyl bjds out there, even hujoos are vinyl, but they are still strung with elastic, and have ball joints. And while big obitsus, and dollfie dreams aren't, there not banned on DOA or anything, and are bjds. Oh, and RESIN is PLASTIC. If they have ball joints, there a BJD!

  • @spentellit

I`m talking about 27cm obitsus as this is what the video is about not about 60cm...

  • @MartahisHeartless Ok, but you said bjds are made out of resin, but not all bjds are, thats all I am saying.

  • I am so curies what you made of your obitsu xD Cant you shoow how she looks like now in a video~

  • OOh lucky. I want to get a hold of a bjd soon but I don't think my guardians can be convinced to buy me one... I'm starting job search this weekend... the one I'm lookin to get is 300 some dollars. How much was that one? And how did you get your parents to get it for you lol what's your secret? A lot of people seem to name their doll some foreign name. Im a writer, and Im personally a fan of totlay made up names... try a name by origins baby naming site thingie... that shoudl help.

  • IShowYouHow, Obitsus aren't BJDs, they are cheap little knock-offs, very good cheap little knock offs, but when you buy heads, bodys, eyes....it gets a little expensive.

  • Comment removed

  • I FEEL YOUR PAIN! I am a noob.....

  • you guys may want to try denverdolls especially for those who live in the states

they have an great selection for BDJ form the big names

but what makes it so good is that there are layways and monthly payments for the dolls

also goodreau american doll is good price

  • I think you should have looked around more. I loooove obitsu's because they are more movable..y'know? They can pose better. Big bjd sellers like volks or Dream of Doll sell on ebay and dramatically decrease the price. Im getting my 365th bjd doll, a 60cm, with a free wig, faceup, and tattoo all for 199$

Good Luck! Though I honestly suggest ebay! :D

Btw, LOVE your Chii ears!! ^^

  • WOAH! 365!!!! WOAH!

  • Lmao. Yep, I have no life and too much money so why not use it for bjd's? Its a terrible obessesion, its worse than*gasp* The clothes shopping syndrome! DX LOL.

  • Oh i hate shopping. How long did it take for you to get all of them!!!

  • I'll PM you about it, I dont like spamming ppl on their comment box

  • Mkay!

  • you could use the name of greek goddeses here are some if you haven't name it yet...

afrodite, anemone, flora, athena, diana, lirica, echo, nemesis, hera.

well thats all I can tell u :)

  • awesome mine is coming and im so stoked!! im getting a 50 cm bobobie doll x3 im thinking of naming her Pandora!!!

    congrads btw :D

  • Where u buy thosee :o

  • Congratulations! I got my first BJD this summer.

  • Ah yes. I have always craved a bjd. Ive been looking everywhere for the perfect one. (because like most people, im not rich enough to buy one and not like it) Im getting one named andrea from a secondhand site. Its not an obistu. Its actually a boy but im going to get a girl body and make it a girl.

I suggest calling it by an american name instead of doing what everyone else does. Im calling mine megan only its going to be spelled meyghan so its all cool and junk sorta like genghis khan XD

  • can i have the link to the secondhand shop?

  • BJD's are addicting!!! I currently have 2 MSD, 2 tinies, an Obitsu 27cm...(like yours only w/ eyeholes) and a Hujoo. That doesn't even include my Blythes!!!

Good luck with her and I can't wait to see her finished ^0^

  • ahh Im new at them too xD

I just ordered 2 BJDs from dreamofdoll and cant wait for them to get here, the male is 43 cm and the female is 41. I got the wigs and the eyes for them but still I need cloths xD

ah, and if you still dont have a name for her

    how about yuka?

    or ami? :3

  • did u get the tender-too and the bee-a?

cuz theyre 43 and 41 cm.

and their the ones i want....

    hw much did they cost?

  • I'm getting mine soon. I'm also a noob at this. ^^ Mine is also 27 Cm. But she's not an obitsu.

  • Today I saw the first time "BJD." Wow! So strange and powerfull. Tell me when you make a slide show.

  • love ya babe
