  • looks familiar....

  • what kind of supercar only goes 130

  • are you kidding me!!! These guys copied jaguar designs of jaguar xk 180 concept and f-type concept!!!!!

  • 6:16 move!

  • This is so Aston Martin!

  • ...and I thought the Fisker Karma was as good-looking as EVs were going to get...

  • Cant wait for lithium air batteries, electromagnetics is the industry to be in!

Also cant wait to see the next generation 1000+ BHP electric supercars .. sweeet

  • this car is sex

  • top speed were going to limit! limit! limit! 130 mph. how fast can these things go

  • @TheZoelzer2 The Karma can hit 143 mph (for a burst of 90 seconds) but I suspect they can't go much faster on any single-speed transmission without really wearing out the moving parts.

  • Corvette/Aston Martin meets Chrysler Crossfire

  • why every electric sportscar have 200 km/h (130 mph) limited top speed?

  • @cristabelli Electric engine and one-gear transmission.

  • @cristabelli yea, but seriously you should never, ever be going that fast.

  • No drivetrain, no shafts, no trans, no wt from all those unnecessary parts. Very nice. Should come available with 2 or 4 w drive. 2 for better range, 4 for traction and power.Wonder if you can stop power to 2 so that 2 only draw power from the batteries.

  • Was this car in Top Gear?

  • @3089280288 no

  • @3089280288 no

  • The contouring looks better than the typical American car. For its size I think this car should've been a 4-seater. Also, wouldn't having 4 motors increase the maintenance cost?

  • @Afrocanuk AC induction motors don't have any maintenance.

  • It will work in India because every bodey have access 3 phase but price 2 00 000 euro is dame high = use less car just a prototype

  • * 10 minutes on 3-phase! I really like this car, but unless charging points become as ubiquitous as fuel pumps, then it I do not believe it will catch on. If you want to recharge this using household 13A power, then forget 10 minutes!

  • @BigGee84

Whats the rush? We might as well get used to the fact that we can't have everything. In my opinion we are way to spoiled nowadays. There was a time where there only were horse and carts, so even with a little waiting sometimes, we shouldn't complain about chargingtimes. Remember, if everybody waits for the ultimate to come, it will never happen. We have to start somwhere.

    Cheers

  • and when is it gona be on Topgear ?

  • good question, price777!

I would like to know how this car performs!?

  • So they can stitch it up like they did the Tesla Roadster?

  • somebody said (480kw) or about 640 HP ? does it really have 640 HP ?

  • now i know why they sold RR , TVR ,Landrover , out with the old technology in with the new .

  • Superb.. I want one!

Just one question.. are those wheel motors okay with deep puddles.. I mean.. we get a lot of those in the UK dont we?

  • My god this car is achingly beautiful. It is redolent of the Maserati Ghibli. Surely an Italian must have had a hand in the styling..! It's a Jaguar that Jaguar probably wishes it could have made. Perhaps the front grille is the only small fly in the ointment. Rear end is wonderful. Side-on, and three-quarters rear view, it is sublime.

10 minute charge, 200 miles on a 10 minute charge, zero emissions, 4 secs. 0-60...it's all sounding Holy Grail-ish.

Electric tech is doing it's best, for sure.

  • The internal combustion engine is history, the future is now!

    and I almost bought a Z06...

  • good music good car = perfect

  • finally the electric car has matured, it can't be considered a toy anymore.

  • the front of the car looks like a 599 gtb ferrari, the back looks like the new 2009 camaro and the side looks like an aston martin or jaguar.

  • The most capable drivetrain imo

  • looks like a Vette and Viper morphed together. Looks good, hopefully they can actually produce this vehicle

  • More like an Aston Martin Vanquish

  • BEAST

  • Hmm.. Looks more like a American muscle car than British solid perfect sports car.

  • This car is so awesome, I hope it goes into production.

  • Hey,

I was one of the members of the production team!! Well cuffed with the out come.

  • its only draws maximum wattage full throttle, when just cruising and regular driving you'll only use a fraction of the maximum power and it has regen braking.

I think it is acctually 480kw (four 120kw motors).

So they say it has 250mile range say that it traveles 50mph it will that 5 hours (36Kw/5hours) = 7.2KW/h

    My figures are probably out.

  • What the hell do you expect?

  • Did anyone notice the following:

    120 kw motor(s)

    36 kw battery pack

    150-180 mi range

Correct me if I am wrong... but when I do the math, it tells me that this 120 kw motor will only run roughly 18 minutes with a 36 kw battery pack under ideal circumstances. That means the car would have to travel at a speed of at least 500 mi/hr to achieve the desired range. Have I missed a crucial piece of data in this film?

  • Yes, battery packs are measured in kilowatt-hours, not kilowatts, and the motor will only draw 120 kw at full power, most of the time the car will be far below that.

  • Not quite true, there are 120kw motors for each wheel, (480kw) or about 640 HP. Also off the line the motors will draw considerably more than their rated power. But yes, during normal use the draw will be far less.

  • .. just skip to 7 minutes.. Aston Martin+Corvette+Ferrari rear end= this car.

  • the designer, daniel durrant, is my cousin, im well proud.

  • tell him to make me a car

  • haha wow! thats awesome how did he get to do that job. tell him he did a very gd job!!! :D

  • you know this car sort of reminds me of a TVR!

    But its awsome ;)

  • after you suffer through a 6min longwinded speech they finally show the car....

the Concept of the in the wheel electric motor was proposed by Ferdinand Porsche in 1905 obviously 100 years ahead of his time...

Also I remember in 1979 a similar car was tested at the Indianapolis motor speedway by GE and GM... the only difference it used a small 2cyl diesel motor and was a Diesel-Electric Hybrid

  • That is one spectacular looking electric car. I can only hope that the specs they gave are for real.

  • And they even have Muse playing in the background, nice. Oh nice car by the way.

  • WTF!

  • I'll have one please. And hey, please crush my 12 mpg Hummer while you´re at it, it's a disturbing view for me now a days.

  • Brilliant

  • I love all the curves of this car, impressive design! :-)

  • This car looks freaking amazing!! And driving 100% on electricity??! Wow!

  • nice car, but they choose the worst color. damn!

  • Almost all new car models are displayed first in silver, because it shows all the lines better under the lights.

  • ya right!

  • This is a damn hot car ! Awesome in-wheel motors, I love it ! I adore this car !

  • i think that ferrari and mercedes will change to electrical motor after max a year

  • Beautiful

  • I have one thing to say...

    SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
