LOL thats 280 Crank hp buddy...the 03 04s are the basic slow versions which are netting low 230whps. The rev up motors years 05-07 are the ones with 300 crank hp netting exactly the same whp this person did which should be 240-255whpish STOCK!
I've heard a lot of complaints about the engine oil consmption on this car. The engine eats up TONS of oil and causes some engine problems. WHats your feedback on this? is it something i should be worried about?
It depends on what year you have. The 05-07 have the rev-up motor and those were the ones with the problem. I believe it was mostly the manual tranny but I know for sure of one auto that had the problem. This is some thing that Infiniti is aware of and they will fix the problem if the car is still under warranty.
I have a 07 G coupe and its an automatic.. I find that when it shifts to second gear it makes some kind of grinding noise and then after I keep driving it doesnt do it anymore. Only when i start it up and take off it does it.. Do u have any idea what it can be??
@jpiff200000 your tranny probably i tend to use the tiptronic sometimes to get ON it , and now at 109000 miles i can feel my tranny starting to get a little messed up
. I own a 2006 g coupe and have had ZERO problems with oil consumption. It might burn a little bit of oil if you drive it very hard. If your engine burns oil on a regular basis, you should then get it ckecked out. The fucken tranny is a piece of shit though. Had it replaced a 45k and are getting it replaced at 60k again( under warranty)
@rxr1993 My stock 2003 G35 coupe with 100K miles on it does this a little bit. After owning it for 3 years now, I've learned that if you drive civilized with it, the oil consumption is no more than any other car. When you plant your foot into the gas regularly though, it does consume oil about 1 quart in about 3 months, which is time to change your oil anyway. I don't see any smoke though, and the plugs are clean. I do run 10w30 in the summer in arizona, and 5w30 in winter. This minimizes it too
