  • Hah, because of this song. I will never forget the word Verstumme..

  • Congratulations! You are a genius! Very beautiful music (Bach is God) with amazing images , which portraits the eternal battle of the shadows against the Light, with remarkable pictures of Dante's masterpiece. THANK YOU! From Brasil...Cezar

  • @DucatiSPBrz

Muito obrigado! E viva o Brasil!

  • Thank you very much! This cantata and terrible pictures help me to keep my Lent resolution :]

  • @dagisa123

LOL! Sorry, but if I keep using just lovely pictures every time I make a video I'll get bored really fast!... I have the attention span of a fish! :P

Thanks for watching my crappy videos! Or, like you guys say over there, děkuji! :)

    My pleasure!

  • Dear 30 years old Virgin, who are the performers of this Bach Cantata?

    Many thanks!

  • @VernonVince

Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart/Bach-Collegium Stuttgart directed by Helmuth Rilling.

The Bass singing here is the German Wolfgang Schöne (b. 1940).

The original recording is from 1979 but it's been republished throughout the years.

  • Great video... thank You so much!

  • @NSLOnlyM

Thank you, my dear! It’s always a pleasure to read your comments on my videos!

  • In addition to great music -- great pictures!

  • @Arjunai

Thank you! Not everybody appreciates this kind of videos, some people find the pictures I used here to be unworthy of Bach’s music. I however refuse the idea that the Great Master’s music should be only accompanied by flowers, lovely birds, idyllic landscapes and sunsets. One of Bach’s music features that really amazes me is the vast emotional range that it encompasses. Also, this kind of videos attracts younger people, something that classical music is severely in need these days.
