But the quality of the color and sound is excellent, and these are intense scenes. Notice how objective and firm, but polite the cop is. Would that they are all still like that.
I agree. It makes the movie much more interesting and watchable. Also notable are the subtle innuendos of the characters reactions and glances; especially Gene's.
Never seen it... looks like a good who-done-it, seems it was on a recent Amazon 'bad girls' film noir list I recieved ? ? I be checking this one out ;) Thank You!
I was a bit surprised, when I first watched this, at the venom in some dialogues. Im less enthusiastic about the film itself than you are, but its not a boring film, and looks superb on a good DVD. Ive subscribed to your videos BTW. cheers
Thanks for the share! No, I don't have this movie yet. I'll have to get it soon.
What a long couch! Gene and Ginger Rogers in the same scene. Always liked Van Heflin too. It's funny to see George Raft with gray hair. Looks like an interesting movie (anything with Gene in it has to be good).
Van Heflin is superb with his lines. The sets in this movie are a sight to behold, reflecting the character's taste and personality. The decor of Lottie's apartment fits her to a tee. And Gene, a GET girl herself is suited to this role in more ways than one...shades of Laura.
Best line: "Did she ever strike you as a neurotic?" (George Raft).
