Absolutely love this bike. It shall be my second set of two wheels. In black though. They hold their resale value well in the UK - most are around the £4000 mark for second hand.
I have a 2007 special edtion silver with the flames...I really want pipes for it to make it louder...they sound nice i just want to be heard for safety reasons...have fun !!!!!!!!!
As with all cruisers, the low seat-height means an easy reach to the floor and it helps inspire confidence in learners. The low centre of gravity also means handling feels safe. However, this 800cc has a lot of grunt - very easy to lock up a tyre with excessive braking or changing down gears too fast, etc, etc. In the UK we learn on 125cc bikes for a reason. A 250cc Honda Rebel or something similar might be a wise first step if you've never ridden before.
@ajaxweb I rode a honda rebel 250 and it was a perfect bike for me to learn on but the frame was simply too small for me to be comfortable on.. So i compromised, I bought an M50 boulevard and put C50 handlebars on it and vance and hines cruzers, Now the bike is absolutely perfect, I dont have to stretch to reach the stock m50 drag bars and the stock forward controls make it just a joy to ride!, bye bye back and neck pain! :D
awesome Vid, I have an 07 black M50 also, but I was wondering....in this video, how cold was it and ow warm were you? I'm asking cuz I plan on riding my bike ALL winter.
It was around 18-20C. The leather suit makes the ride comfortable up to 10 degrees. But if you want to ride during the winter maybe you should consider some special designed clothing, depending on how cold the winter is in your area. Here in Canada I wont ride at -30 centigrades!
@billavid that's your opinion. Loud pipes save lives, I have vance and hines cruzer pipes and they're amazing, they give it the beautiful purr that an 800 cc vtwin should have but without sounding abnoxious and faggy, yet when you give it the gas enough they can be damn loud! amazing pipes I can cruise past old men near the retirment village and they dont even turn their heads to look, but as soon as I give it a good squeeze anyone in my vicinity wakes the hell up and watches out. :P great pipes
@billavid I don't know about that. My pipes have saved my butt on a number of occasions. I've even been told by friends in cars that if it hadn't been for the sound of the pipes, they wouldn't have even been able to see me at certain times on a road trip. Loud pipes are very valuable Obnoxious at 6:30 in the morning when your neighbor fires it up for sure, but valuable on the road. The next thing which is an absolute must upgrade on any bike is the horn. $40 bucks gets you a nice air horn.
I luvs mine!

Sweet-looking bike. Sweet sounding too! Forget "after market" pipes! I've got a black 2007 model, LOVE IT!!! Ride safe!
