How long will the tranny, and engine last, i don't really see alot of vechiles that are domestic from 2000 and up. usually all 1999's and below. It may look nice but as i said how much will it take to keep it running.
Why do people always question how long an American car will last ? I have a 1995 Town Car with 269k on it and the only things that have been replaced are the tires, rear air bags which were swapped for longer lasting coil springs, and routine maintenence(oil changes, plugs & wires etc).
My parents had a 85 Grand Marquis with the 5.0 that had 220k when they got rid of it years and years ago.
My old boss had a lifted 94 Chevy 1500 with 240k on it and said he only replaced the U-joints.
I've never really liked Dodge, but i saw this truck at the Boating Expo today and i must say I'm impressed at the product quality feel Dodge has given. this one was a Laramie, loaded up, and i was surprised at the Crew Cab legroom. the Rambox was cool and full of Cokes, and i love the home outlet plugin and the 30gb hard drive. the Ford is impressive too but this one's just as nice.

@joshkilla67 well, I think what you should be considering is how well the driver is inside the truck after the crash, not the damage to the truck.

I have a 2000 Buick regal Gs Super charged with 200k miles on it.
It has been a great car and reliable.
We also have a 2003 srt-4 Neon with 80k on it and its been rock solid as well.
