Thanks for the review! I've already got Hot Rails on the Bridge of my Strat and was thinking of Cool Rails in the Neck, so this has confirmed a good choice! What about a DiMarzio Cruiser for the Middle? ;-)

You're gonna want some active EMGs(81in the bridge &85 in the neck)

you probably did. the hotrails in my tele is so crisp and clean its ridiculous. i think i prefer it over a full sized humbucker in some ways.

you know what would be great?linking 2 hot rails in series to produce a ''quad''-like rail humbucker(equivalent to 4 single coils).I saw it as a standard pickup cofiguration in a kramer striker guitar(although I don't think the 2 single-coil sized HBs were hot rails) and the results were pretty cool!

I was thinking about dropping a Hot Rail in the Neck of a strat and an SH-6 in the bridge. Do the hot rails work for the middle position too? I'm trying to get a really hard rock and metal tone out of it. Queens of the Stone Age meets Mastodon type stuff.

yesssss alot!! with the cool rails in clean like u hear in the video you get a real like glassy sound to it its really nice but when you play clean on the hot rails u get a real ballsy sound the hot rails have some seriius ass on them ..but it makes sence becouse there the hightest output pickup symour duncan makes

Yea thats an interesting squire. I have one and i'm replacing the pickups as well. Squire single coils sound worse than david gilmore playing on crack, so wasted he can't move his hands, and with two broken hands.

ummm i got it from a pawn shop any honest to god the best squire ive evr played even my guitasr teacher a old jazz guitar player loves it its amazing ill have to check for u i think its an affinity squire but ive played lots of squiers but non have the great feeling that this one has

those pickups are awsome are amazing with out that pickups it woulnt sound any thing like that but the amp is surprisingly just a 15watt line 6 spider2 the amp is good the distortion is the best ive herd out of alot of amps but the clean ids nice but the bass on it not so great whent ur playing on clean i would recomend it unless ur a type of guitar player ha plays on clean then this amp not so much i would buy like a peavey or a fender amp
