@gobackto82 Someone posted it at the Rubbins Racin forums, I think from Derrike's Facebook page. It's from a test at the Motor Mile earlier in the week.
@tonystewartrocks14 No, no, I don't mind. Like I've always said; I'm glad you guys keep me honest. The whole reason I started these was because I wanted to improve the existing broadcasts. To do that, I need to keep improving based on you guys' feedback.
Actually Bobby Labonte's best finish of the year was a 4th at the Daytona 500 and his 7th came at the first New Hampshire race this season, not at Martinsville. He never got a top-ten here this season, yet.
@W1SEG4M3R Ack! I was looking at the wrong chart! 7th at Martinsville was Labonte's best start of the year, not his best finish. You are indeed correct, sir.
Wow, I'm surprised 2 77's withdrew. And, what? I didn't know two different teams can have the same number. I think only one driver can be the 77. First, TJ Bell, then Robby Gordon, then Andy Lally!.
@KelticJohnsonRacing / @Spannerhead29: Technically, only one team has the #77. And that team is...Rusty Wallace Racing, running Steven Wallace in the Daytona 500 (using Penske's 2010 owner points). Robby Gordon's #77 is, officially, the #177; TRG's car (run by both Bell and Lally, it's the same team) is the #277 officially. IIRC the tiebreaker for actully running the number on the car is qualifying position?
@rampage7777 No, because there hadn't been any practice sessions before qualifying being cancelled (that was, in fact, WHY qualifying was cancelled.) The one and only practice session (with, of all people, the Texas Twister being fastest) was held after qualifying was cancelled in favor of getting Truck qualifying in.
What a coincidence! The occupants or Row 20 wound up merging into one team for 2012...

3:15 You said Bobby Labonte's best finish of the year was at Martinsville with a 7th, but didn't he get 4th a the Daytona 500?
Spannerhead29 4 months ago
Brock, after this race you need to give Brian Vickers a new nickname. "Wrecking Ball" should do nicely. ;)

@00andJoe: The "Red Bull-dozer" fits also... He bull-dozed the whole field!!!

2 77's? Is this the first time in modern NASCAR history that two teams attempted a weekend with the same number, and withdrew?

Great grid as always Brock! Oh, and Stewart's last win at Martinsville was the spring of '06. Sure enough, that's his only win there.
tonystewartrocks14 4 months ago
@tonystewartrocks14 You are correct; I misstated that it was 2005, but he actually had one other Martinsville win back in the fall of 2000.
I wish I could say I'm making these mistakes on purpose, but honestly, I'm surprised I've been making them.
