75% of the state is a disaster zone. I was stranded over North Bundaberg when the Burnett River flooded just around New Years, but I cannot imagine the heartbreak the people of Toowoomba, Ipswich and Brisbane are feeling. Queenslanders stick together, as do all Australians and we will get through this. I will donate as much money as I can because let's face it, every cent from the appeal will be needed. I live in Rockhampton and I'm thankful that we had warning of the floods days before hand so we could prepare (even tho it really wasn't much of a flood compared to other places)... and I used to live near Ipswich and Toowoomba, so I know the area's affected and have friends all over Brisbane and Toowoomba area.... It is just amazing how mother-nature shows who's boss! I've donated what I can and hope that my bit will help!
