  • haha, everyone always mix up Swedes and Swiss... but, I think the big pad is a swiss army pad, because I'm a swede, and we don't have that as a first aid... but, lovely video! I liked it alot!

  • the green bang is an abdominal/ burn derssing of german army

  • @Matias268

    cool, thanks

  • @GearBuyersGuide Do you remember where you bought that German dressing?

I'd love to try one out...

  • @Hiluxtaco

CTD, or SG.. one of them catalogs years ago.. in the few pages they sell 'real' surplus .. they were REALLY cheap IIRC or I wouldn't have risked buying them sight unseen

  • not inpressed at all mate to much crap a first aid kid has one role you dont mix it with tools as a medic my self i think you carry far to much crap

  • @LC128

eh.. easy to make a comment, tougher to put together a kit and make a video.. till then your comment will be given it's due respect..

  • Large green package is a large, non-adhesive burn-dressing which was in use in The Netherlands

  • The large green package is a pack of bandages (not just one pad from what it says) to treat wounds from the swiss army.

It's outdated so I dont think it would still work for that use.

  • thanks

  • @JoeDurobot well it says that it is (or has been) used for burns.

  • where would you get the 6" roll gauze?

  • we bought them online 9where ever it was cheap at the time)

  • the thing you don't open/know is for burning wounds. normally it is a big pad.

  • you know that the german dressing you got there is 32 years old right?

  • nope, how can you tell?

  • it says 1977 on that contract number

  • Hmmm.. I guess that COULD be an indication .. LOL

  • I enjoyed the editing you did at the end as well.

  • thanks, we try to have some fun

  • Quickly, quickly....Quickly, Quickly...And the "Quickly count" goes on. :-)

  • i love how you do the fast forward thing at the end hehe

  • thanks.. glad people like it.. I'm just trying to keep it fun while editing, etc

  • You pretty much have a complete trauma kit. With the gear in your pouch you should be able to plug just about any gun shot wound. The only thing you are missing is a tourniquet and maybe some more gauze. Besides that, at least from where I am standing, its a grade A trauma kit.

  • thanks.. my concern is that it's overkill on some of the stuff

  • i suppose as long as you have the right kit to treat a gunshot or shrapnel wound you're ok right?

  • how much is a decently large kit of good quilety??? this looks like a cool and important project

  • I think that can depend on a lot of things..

but you can buy pre-made kits from $20 - $200 just depends how large

  • good points about zipping back up before you move to another person to work on
