They both played music in digital files that was transferred from a computer, that's about it... Steve has not done enough if barely any innovation of purely technical value to ever make up for how his business philosophy has held the entire industry back. Without Apple's competition, other companies would arguably slack off even more.

Steve Jobs, as amazing as he is, is no where close to Thomas Edison.
Edison was an inventor,
Jobs was a marketer and salesperson.
The technology jobs "created" was already in existence for many years, he merely re-packaged it and did a great job on selling his stuff.

There is no good reason why the FOSS community should be defending a corporate CEO like Steve Jobs. FOSS is itself evidence that the community can do better than Jobs' proprietary model. This community's deference to Jobs is the effect of decades of corporate propaganda, and it's being spouted by people who really should know better. Hopefully, the Occupy Wall Street movement is starting to teach us that we don't need these guys. They are not innovators; they are parasites.

The number of touch screen phones that came out after iphone was huge, now nearly every single smart phone is a touch screen with apps and is set up and looks very simular to the iphone. People copy success, Apple set the bar for design and quality in their iphone and other companies still can't match it.

The waiting list in Tenn is just 48 days, compared to the national average of 306 days, according to the United Network for Organ Sharing. You should feel bad for any person who dies regardless of how much money they have. Jobs also met with CA Gov Schwarzenegger to work on making it easier to get a transplant and to increase the number of donors.

He was working at an apple orchard, and also Apple came before Atari in the phone book. They say it might have also been named for Apple records. Rob Janoff created the logo, and put a bite in it so that people wouldn't think it was a tomato. It's also like Isaac Newton's apple, and the bite can be a "byte" and the apple is the fruit of knowledge.

Common medicine such as radiation therapy will actually kill you faster, something doctors won't tell you because that'll just ruin the business [RT is supposed to kill cancerous cells but it also kills white cells which you actually need] Cancer is a business of billions $ there won't be a cure soon but believe me, medicine will cure the once thought impossible except cancer.
