  • Great ride! <3

  • wow thats some crazy good rideing and ur horse is beast :)

  • i love pole bending, definently one of my favorite speed classes...even though i was running poles the first time i was thrown XD

  • This is honestly one smokin run i compete rodeo and that is one of the fastest pole runs ive ever seen and i compete barrels and poles!

  • @BarrelRacingCowgirlH , literally, we know. To death. PLEASE, explain the Wild Horse Race. How kind it is, how well the horses are treated during the "event". Or did you skip that part of rodeo? I have NO issues with barrels/poles/games. The brutal sports are getting more and more violent. Since the animals don't have a say in whether they compete or not, couldn't you say something? Or is that how you all break your horses, run 'em in the WHR first?

  • Amazing run! congrats!! :)

  • OMG you done a great job.

  • is there a love button? this is amazing!

  • 00:00 you totally took this from the computer (: lol

  • how could 4 people dislike this????? smokin run!!

  • Wow, very nice run! Loved it!

  • amazing! and inspiring

  • I just saw some of the comments... Why is everyone being so negative? In jumping people have to whip their horse to encourage him/her to go over a jump, barrel racers have to whip their horses to go faster. And this video wasn't put up for negativity. So, for real, hop off.

  • DDDDAAAAAYUUUMMMMM. lol. Wish my horse would run that well!! Seriously we run into the arena, turn *clip* *clip* *clip* *clip* *clip* *clip* turn, Oh! No more poles! lol. Reallly nice run!!!

  • Made it look effortless so smooth not chopy like some pole runs I see! I hope you won ! :)

  • Smokin!!!

  • I think high school rodeo is awesome! So much fun!

  • @barrelracer10000 It is im in it! you should join up!

    (:

  • @MissRodeoChick202 I plan to :D

  • @barrelracer10000 Awesome (:

  • @iluhhhorses it depends what western riding you are talking about... it takes 3 years to finish a cutting horse with top training and try and do flying lead changes or a slide stop on a finished reiner.

  • And shes not even yankin the reins!!!

  • im a english rider but i also barrel race but i do saddleseat so hell yea we kick ass!!

  • It isn't common to hahe such a long leged horse run poles so well. This is fantastic!

  • that is one hell of a pole run, that is a ture pole horse he changed leads and everything!!!!! that is a true pole horse right there!!!

  • That is one smokin fast pole run!! :) awesome job!!!

  • that is the best damn pole run ever!

  • is he still for sale??

  • Beautiful run, and just enough pop.

  • im sry trose268 that people are using your video to argue on. its ridiculous. that was an absolutely amazing run. congrats and keep it up

  • yano i think ya'll r dumb for fightin over english and western crap.dude i ride saddleseat and i ride speed.n i love em both. so i think you should all quite callin each other sissy's n accusing 1 or the other of abusing your horses. all seats have been accused of"abuse" and yes there is people like that out there but really?lets all stop this nonsense.n these horses do what they do cuz they love it. not cuz they are forced to.if a horse really wanted, they can get you off. geez. ppl these days!

  • wow.....AmAzInG!!

  • good run and 3 little pops on the horses but won't hurt it

  • this video gives me chills, i love seeing great runs like this

  • is this horse still for sale???

  • wikid run girl great job!! loved it you were right with that horse the whole time

  • how much u want for the horse?

  • WOW -- you were awesome!!!

  • WOW -- you were awesome!!!

  • WOW!!!!! Great Job! How did you place at finals?

  • i can't believe how people argue about whether or not this is bad for horse, abusive, etc. it's pretty obvious to me that this is a beautiful partnership.

  • this run is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!

did you ever sell the horse?

  • that was the most amazing run ever :)

  • this is amazing wish my horse had that speed

  • man!!!! wish i could run poles like this!!!!

  • this run has been seen over 70,000 times!!! i'm pretty sure i'm the one who has watched it at least 50,000 of those 70,000 times!!! lol!!! i love this run!!! nice job!!! your weave was amazing!!!! your hands barely moved!!! i love it!!! congrats!!!!

  • WOW!!!!! that was a GREAT run!! im so jealous -.- LOL my horse can do the pattern, but only at a canter, the gallop he gets all excited and skips poles and just runs xD !

  • Amazing! su much grace!

  • Comment removed

  • well depends on if you use the spurs properly, which shouldnt hurt, but I agree

  • i do not wish to start an arguement but people who say wipping a horse is bad i can see your point in a way ... and if you ride english i see your point to i myseld useed to ride english but western is a speed envent and in that case when your r competing for the world you may need to use a wip that hard (:

  • BEAUTIFUL horse! and Awesome job!!

  • yeah!!!!!!! that's like my horse!!

  • NIICEE! run! now i jut need my horse to run like this!! very good job!

  • Now THAT is some pole bending. I've seen wayyy to many bad pole runners its not even funny.

  • my 2 older sibs. did nhsra and i am going to to the same in two years. i may be doing the wrangler rodeo. wow! i've only gotten 23-24

  • wow! beautiful clean run! you make it look so easy! Crazy fast time too. the fastest ive ever been able to run is a 20.93 and i thought that was fast. Damn how 1 second can make a BIG difference! My fastest barrel run was a 20.50, yeah im slow! You go girl!

  • HOLY MAN THIS HORSE IS FAST!!! and ii thought i had a good pole run? lmao. Nice work it obviously took a lot of time to get that down. Great riding

  • (: Go barrel racerss(: any rodeo type people.... go you(: hahaha, great runn. and Yeahh, barrel horses enjoy what they do.

  • umm rodeoqueen38...cool down and dont get so fricken mad about it cause you dont have anything to prove to them if ya got second in the nation i know how hard that is and how much work and consistency goes into it

  • would you all keep yer opions or cum2 me and say them 2 my face i was freaking second in the nation with is more than all yall can say so shut up dnt appritat all the ride cmmts... i was trained 2 use that wip

  • I agree with Canchaser88. And Barrek09racer. And I have seen what English spurs (FOR THOSE WHO USE THEM) can do. They can rip the shit out of horses sides. And to me, most English horses don't look like they have as much fun as Barrel Horses(:.

  • Damn she's good! Her and her horse. The horse actually looks like it's listening to her aids and in control instead of just flying around.

  • Haha i love canchaser and barrel09racer, i agree with them. It's a sport just like anything else &rodeo people treat their animals like ROYALTY!!! These horses would not be runnin with all their heart and sole to please their owners if they didn't enjoy what they are doing. You damn sissy English riders need 2 stick to what you know, which is nothing and keep on scewing up ur horses front ends while us BARREL AND POLE racers keep on kicking ass! By the way that was the best pole run ive ever seen

  • @canchaser88 ..... haha nice!!! very true canchaser88!!!!

  • @canchaser88 While there sure as hell are sissy english girls, not all of us are. There are two sides to every discipline, and those shitty prissy riders give us a bad name. There are also terrible western riders, who treat their horses like crap. I'm not saying it's any of you, but they are definitely around. And don't say we know nothing. It's terribly inaccurate and it makes you look bad. This stupid "war" between western and english needs to end.

  • @canchaser88 Couldn't have said it better!

  • @canchaser88 WOWOWOWOW CHILL I RID EENGLISH AND WESTERN , SO DONT START SAYIGN SHIT ABOUT ENGLISH RIDERS BEING SISSYS CAUSE WE ARE NOT!! Thank you :) But i do agree with you , its not enlgish riders that are saying bad shit about this being torchur its the people that dont know anything about riding

  • @CheyZenaxx yes i agree i do jumping and english riding but i go to rodeos and kick some butt with my gray quarter horse! i think if you do both english and western you will be a very good rider. partly because jumping, get a good seat and learn to keep your hands quiet. western trail and pleasure i learn our bond and what i can work on... and finally barrel racing! that stuff is so much fun and you can learn to push your limits and teach your horse how to turn. i use my horse for all events :)

  • @crazyformisty123 Yeah same here , cause i hate how some people ONLY use there horse for games ( like they don't do pleasure) Like i love to be able to have a nice calm pleasure horse , and then a fuckign awesome game horse when its time but i still like my horse to be calm after the run :p

  • @CheyZenaxx yea if u run to much barrels it messes up a pleasure or a jumper or a horse hat has potentail in any thing else. thats why for a couple of dayss out of a month i run barrels once and wheni am going to a rodeo i only practice for about 8 days on barrels

  • @canchaser88 im interested in buying that horse where r u located

    @

  • @canchaser88, yes, kicking your horse's ass is indeed what you do best. Stupidest sport, ever.

  • @AnimalLeftist you don't like it don't watch it. cause when you watch and run your mouth on something that OBVIOUSLY other rodeo contestants, barrel racers, pole benders are going to watch and say something on you're just in a way supporting it. so just sit back, eat your veggie burgers, play your chess & let us REAL country kids run our horses and let them do what they love to do and that's Rodeo!

  • wow im a bullrider and im not much into pole bending but wow was that a smokin run! great job

  • OK if a horse can get kicked by another 2500 pound horse with 10000 pounds of pressure per inch mind you then using a whip and kicking your horse isnt much. we weigh 150 pounds and they 1600 pounds. Don't talk about what you don't know

  • horse crazy is a dumb ass... if rodeo is so damn bad then dont watch the video

  • i just wish that they'd pat their horses, or some encouragment

  • yeah, right. i belive that it is wrong to hit and kick horses as hard as shown in this video! For a horse, jumping is NOT abuse, it is proper exercise! There is no need for this back and forth, so just stop.

  • jumping is very bad for horses legs and i have never seen horses break tthere legs in barrel racing or poles.. but in jumping i have known horses that had to b put down in jumping bcuz of broken legs

  • i have to say tht horse is doin it all

  • Beautiful ride by a beautiful girl on her horse, you should be proud!

  • i agree with horsecrazy918 100%

  • there is no need to be rude! i am not saying everyone does, just a few. i do acknowledge her for great, speedy round, but i feel there was no need for her whipping/kicking the horse. BTW, i am SOO not jealous of somebody who whips their horse. = )

  • Comment removed

  • by the way, i DO own a horse, and i do ride english and i am proud of it because i do not whip my horses to death!

  • but you probably jump it to death

    and quirts dont hurt

so ha get over your jealous self!!

  • ohhh well that explains ALOT! you ride english haha... how about you just stick to your own thing and quit sayin us rodeo people beat our horses. because that is so not true

  • @canchaser240 I ride english and I'm not some sissy english rider, actually I used to do barrels because I got bored of it and I've always wanted to jump. in the middle ages knights rode english in war! so I wouldn't call english riders sissies. so quit acting all high and mighty because one discipline is not better than the other. P.S. it takes alot of balls to do a 3 mile cross country course and if the horse is trained and athletic enough it's not much of a problem for him

  • Now THATS what I call a pole horse! Amazing! Did you train the horse yourself?

  • fast fucking horse!!!!

  • Wow, i love how powerful that horse is! gorgeous! nice run.

  • if yall are gonna fuss about horse abuse why dont you fuss on a video of how jockeys ride. barrel racers and pole benders whip for seconds, they whip the whole time. grow up. awesome run trose!

  • Or you could try teaching your horse basics and it will make barrels and poles so much easier. If you do a good enough job you should be able to almost run them without them even knowing the pattern. Tho i wouldent advise it.

  • The horse is about 1200 lbs. You are100-200 lbs. There is no way you could EVER hurt a horse. Even with the help of spurs, bits, and crops.

  • uhh sorry but that's not true at all...people beat horses until they bleed all the time.

she wasnt doing anything wrong here though.

  • all the time? I haven't seen anyone do that, and I've been riding and showing for six years...

  • lucky you.

  • you can easily hurt a horse, no matter how much you weigh!

  • ok all of yall who are sayin whipping the horse is abbuse?...get over it. and to be perfectly honest, she wasnt even really whipping the horse, she gave him a few twacks and it wasnt even hard! besides she ride awsome and that horse hauls and trsuts her!! AMAZING JOB!! =D

  • horsecrazy918..... whipping and kicking is part of rodeo so get over it

  • i will not get over it, it needs to be stopped, that is abuse to the horse.

  • Whipping and Kicking is not abuse. Barrel racing whips are soft, much much much softer than english crops, it does not hurt the horse at all.

  • you clearly dont understand the HUGE difference between riding hard and abuse lol.. 2 VERY VERY different things. trust me ive been rodeing my whole life. but you wouldnt know because i bet you know NOTHING about rodeo.

  • haha no no... you probably dont even own a horse... or your one those english riders lol possibly both

  • just face the facts that your a jealous idiot who knows squat!!!!!

  • Riding like that is not abuse! Some horses are trained like to do that! I have seen more aggressive people ride! That does not hurt the horse! Jumping is what hurts the horse! When you jump you make the horses land on their front feet and put all their weight on their two front feet where in rodeo the horses feet don't even leave the ground more than two feet! So who is the abusive one now? English riders! Yeah that's what I thought!

  • @barrelracingbaby2008 sorry but jumping is not abuse if the horse is trained and athletic enough to do it. I hate this stupid fight between english and western. And don't say I'm some sissy english rider like CanChaser420 claims all english riders are because I used to do barrels but quit because I got bored of it and that I also have always wanted to jump. So learn your facts before you start generalizing about what is abuse and what is not because I've seen quite a few abusive barrel racers

  • there is no need for the whipping an kicking of the rider, but other than that, it was a great round!

  • ...it's obviously so the horse knows to run faster.

  • @horsecrazy918 hahahahha you are obviously someone who sits at home with pictures of ponies and breyer horses all around you and you have never been around a real horse in your life... that or you are 5 years old.. How stupid, kicking a horse is a part of riding, no matter the discipline, and using a crop etc does not, would not, and could not hurt a horse. Their skin is extremely thick, and they are massive animals. It is simply encouragement to run.

  • AHH- mazing run! I hope I get to be that good one day.(: Congrats on 2nd place too!

  • This run was textbook!!! What amazes me is all the retards commenting on it... Wiping and spuring is not bad at all... Just get real and think before you write a comment... LOVE THE RIDER AND THE HORSE =P

  • I'll be honest, I'm an english rider and I show jump and normally when I see western riding it just looks sloppy in my eyes, but this video looks anything but sloppy! I wasnt so keen on the whole whipping thing but the way you rode so well shows thst you know what you're doing. The only time I've done stuff like that is in mounted games, but down here thats only for kids and ponies, so I've kin of grown out of it. You both look awsome, good luck for the future :]

  • dang i wish my horse was that fast she just aint big enough but she still puts her whole hart in it..and she may get faster she just now knows the barrels enough to ask her to go and shes just slow loping the poles

  • that was a picture perfect run!

  • I love this video...I favorited it SEVERAL months ago. It is a text book run and you and the horse respond well to each other! Good job on the run and congrats on the 2nd place.

ON THE OTHER HAND...I have been reading some of the comments people left and I never noticed how stupid some people are. Barrels/Poles is not abusive...and who cares if your parents had the money to buy a good horse. I wish mine did! That ticks me off how people assume barrel racers are "beating their horses". Grow up

  • i am in love with this run,

    it was hellacious!

    good run girl!

  • funny question, but where did you get your hat? like what brand and is it felt? I've been looking for one that style forever and cannot find one anywhere! Thanks! (and nice run)

  • wow. amazing!!!

  • Also for those of you who are dissing this video...she is only spurring and whipping the horse when it takes a stride and has it's feet off the ground, in order to lengthen the horse's strides...for those of you who do not know how a whip actually DOES help..she's not just whiping on it for the sake of whipping on it...she has a rocking time FOR A REASON!!

  • Wow...you rocked it...that was an awesome run!! Way to go!! Great rider and great control over that horse! 150%%!!!!

  • ok losers...if she was whipping that horse really hard, the horse would have bucked her off.

she really needs to let go of the horn and keep her hand off of it...i noticed she lost her balance quite a bit!! good job..nice clean run besides that!!

  • wow that was amazing!! such a clean tite run!! amazing!! oh and 4 those who say she was whiping her horse "to hard" she wasnt, its not like she was beating the crap outa him, hes encouraged by it, almost ever barrel racer and pole bender use a over under whip or something, chill out..anyhow GREAT RIDE COWGRL!!

  • Well she must of done something right to get 2nd in the nation!

  • ..I think thats the point lol

  • get over it....how else would u get an animal to go ...speak elf ...id like to give u a horse and train it without kicking it

  • only a person who has no clue about traning a horse, would say you need to use kicking on the animal. So yeah get over yourself before embarrasing yourself even more in front of us who ride dressage.

  • DUMBASS!!!

  • Dressage DOESN'T NEED TO GO FAST!!! AND YOUR HORSES ARE FREAKIN' CALM!!!! TRY RIDNG A BARREL RACING HORSE THAT IS GOOD AND THEN I BET YOU YOU WOULDN'T BE SAYING SUCH CRAP!

  • Actually trained dressage horse only look calm, many of them have short fuses that explode if incorrectly ridden. (Trust me, my warmblood bucks to the moon if I ride him incorrectly)

But yeah, barrel horse are... hyper. lol My friend's a barrel racer and we always tease each other. (Me being a dressage queen and her a barrel racing rebel. xD)

  • Lol, I didn't mean for it to seem like they where extremely like calm horse!! I just mean they are a little bit calmer, only very few people can ride my horse, because she's never calm, she wants to go! lol, she bucks around rears and all things like that if she can't go, while the horses can do the whole dressage pattern, it just takes two different types of horses to do that! Because I do have a dressage horse who only a few people can ride because you just don't know whats he going to do!

  • Aw true true. They are ALOT calmer. Sometimes I wish I could give mine an energy drink to jazz him up a little bit.

    xD

  • You go girl! So true! I carry a whip with me on one of my horses! But I don't hit him hard! And even if I did it wouldn't hurt him that bad! And more english riders use crops then we do!

  • hay i saw she was for sale and im interested can you mail me asap ,,

  • loveeeeddddd the video. You two make a great pair. Im training one of my geldings for poles.... any tips?

  • take your time alot of slow work.

  • thanks-

  • Walk trough the pattern about 20 billion times. When the horse can turn the pattern by himself without any help from you, trot the pattern 20 billion times. When you are ready, lope slowly, and he will build up from there. Good luck! i'm training my 3 year old as well. :)

  • @barrelbaby22 and also teach the horse to react to your legs make it so you barely even hav to even use the reins stay outa his mouth and use your legs so GOOD LUCK:) :)

  • that horse looks like it loves what it does...that was beautiful.

  • thank u

  • Finals are coming up again this year!!

I cant wait...I wont be riding [I missed over half of our rodeos :/ ] but still...will be cheering my state on!

  • WOW, your such a good rider!

You and your horse look amasing together.

    :)

  • nicce run!

  • WOOOW! That was EPIC! I do English riding, which is.. okay, but western shows are so awesome! I tried pole bending once, but I'm horrible! I can't even do it in trot!!! :P great job!!

  • Thank you very much!! I give you great for what you do that is very hard to do also!!!

  • Thanks for the advice!!!! She is already doing really well with the lead changes. We are running a constant 24 now, I'm just hoping she will start adding more speed. But I'm not going to push her as she is only two.

  • SO FAST and you guys work really well together

  • thank you I really owe it to him

  • hollly crap i man wow thats just amazing i mean wow thoroughbred?? cu it looked like it idk but i mean wow and that horse had alot of sweat on it when u turned the first barrel but i mean WOW

  • thank you

  • i can't get over this video. i've probably watched it 200 times. it's so intense. fabulous job. =]

  • Thank you!! It was pretty intense for me to make the run LOL

  • holyy crap!!!!!!!! ur rrrrllllyyyy good!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much!!

  • wow!

  • How did you train him to be so good? I'm training my two and half year old and she is improving everytime I run her on the poles her latest time she got a 24. I don't let her full out run to the last pole because sometimes she blows out. But any way I'm going to have to start training another horse for barrels and poles and next spring I'm going to have to start my yearling as he will be 2. Anyway you have done an AWSOME job!!!!! Don't listen to people who try to put you down! Awsome horse 2!!!!

  • Thanks!! Ya I've been dealing with that person for awhile now, but anyhow. Your horse will be fine just let her go at her own pace. Being that young you want it to be a good experience for her. A horse will naturally take to poles faster than barrels. Take her through the poles a few time instead of making the same pattern let her get the lead chance down they will began to know the differances between a run and working them.

    Good luck girl!!

  • Girl that horse is really fast and you are a great rider. Congrats you got Second.

  • Thank you very much!!

  • i meant got first...

  • is the girl who go first riding a white/gey horse

  • ya she was, that horse is really awesome she was from oklahoma

  • damnnnnnnn he is beautiful! I'm hoping I get my TWH into that form

  • thank you

  • Thank you very much. Yes, there was alot of hard work put into him. Best wishes to you and thank you agian
