Actually the load is normally running on mains electricity and the UPS is running either on that big transformer or a smaller transformer. When the mains quits relays change the connections on the big transformer so that it is connected to the load and the mains is isolated. Actual continuous operation inverter UPSs have much more substantial power supplies and better thermal management and are not usually chucked willy nilly as they are very expensive.
@randacnam7321 I can get my hands on many of them. Free. In that one vid of mine, you'll see the 270 A/H battery racks that came out of them. If you need any parts from one or two... let me know I'll strip em out and send them to you. I got a big mother (48? VAC) transformer if u need one. No cost, just pay shipping... or FETs, whatever u might need. Peace
@KyleCarrington Thanks for the offer I am very tempted but if you saw the piles of electrical stuff car parts and other junk I have you may be shocked, I'm ruining out of room lol . Peace
@randacnam7321 Thanks for the info, I kind of though after posting the video that these particular ones may work differently from a constant running backup unit the trans would have to be quite large I just wasn't sure at the time, a constant running unit would be better for having a clean sign wave.
