That dog has a look of dignity and nobility. A very handsome fellow. Besides cats lack of intelligence, they can't really do anything like warn you if something is in your yard. Or protect you from something. Or even comfort you if you don't feel good or just sad. Dogs can do it all.

I get up at 6am and walk my dog. I walk him at 10pm, and another time or two during the day. I love both dogs and cats, but each species requires a certain dedication on the part of the person who adopts.

I love dogs 10x more then any cat I've ever had, and even my favorite cat can't come close to my worst favorite dog. This commercial is 100% true, the worlds dumbest dog is a little Einstein compared to the worlds smartest cat. I've never met a dog that doesn't want to please, and my cats I've had in my life had destoryed More property then all of my dogs combined.

Dunno about you, but if I have a pet, I don't really want to strain myself trying to "work" for their attention. A dog just wants to be good, loyal, loving and pleasing to their owner. There's nothing wrong with that. Cats are just rebellious, arrogant and annoying. But if that's your cup of tea, then okay. If I wanted all that, I'd just have a kid.

Dogs are simply smart enough to learn to be friends with people, and cats just don't get it. They don't have the capacity to learn that much.

I lol at this. :P Cats are obviously not stupid, and are much more interesting and enjoyable pets. No house training, no peeing on the carpet, no chewing or eating everthing in sight, no trampling guests when they come over. If you yell at a dog, his ears will go down and his tail will go between his legs even if he's done nothing wrong. It's very easy to break a dog. But cats make you work for their affection. Cats don't sell out like dogs do. Dogs are much too needy and suck-upish, IMHO. :]
