  • A great video and I can't thank you enough for sharing it with us. I am a huge fan of Evalyn Knapp and always love seeing her. Thanks again for sharing and take care.

  • lona andre is a very pretty one

  • Only Mary Carlisle remains now. Gloria Stuart died last year and Dorothy Layton in 2009.

  • I just saw Evalyn Knapp in Flight Hostess and she was so beautiful. Makes me wish I was born in 1906.

  • How beautiful Lona Andre is....

  • Now that I think about it, Lona Andre bears some resemblance to Myrna Loy.

  • "pro feels"?

  • @theshadow1932 I think he meant "profile." I was confused by his pronunciation, too. Never heard it said that way before.

  • I bet Toshia's Hollywood career ended the very next year with the start of WW2... tragic.

  • Excuse please!

  • I missed Gloria Stuart's 100th birthday and I missed her passing, but I certainly didn't miss her beautiful life in the movies. So very captivating.

  • Gloria was beautiful

  • LOL pro-feeel!! Seriously RIP Miss Gloria Stuart. You were beautiful inside and out.

  • A real glimpse into hisotry, brilliant! It is very sexist though, imagine it the other way round with men being lined up and told to pose by women who also made slightly creepy remarks...lol...

  • RIP Miss GLoria Stuart God bless you

  • Lona Andre and ´Boots Malory were beautiful

  • boots! such a doll.

  • That all 'All American Girl' Gloria Stuart was the old Rose in Titanic and she's 100 years old today. Happy Birthday Ms Stuart, no one else can claim that their career spanned from Cagney to Di Caprio.

  • Lovely to look at!, but are these not the WAMPAS baby stars of 1932?

  • I dont understand what that painting is all about. Is he painting one feature from each girl? or trying to make the perfect girl? Never is explained...and who is Willy Pogany anyway?>

  • Amazing that Toshia Mori got picked in that time.

  • @mad8london247 she may have been picked..but her career wasnt

  • Not just good - SENSATIONAL!

  • Gloria Stuart was in titanic "old rose" wow shes young

  • Gloria Stuart is a cool old lady.

  • @TreblePop yea she used to look like paris hilton what do you expect

  • @TreblePop now she was cool old lady

  • And yet only 2 of these 14 girls are still alive.

    (Mary Carlisle 97 & Gloria Stuart 99)

  • I'm related to Evalyn Knapp. Very pretty and had decent "B" movie success.

  • @Haldrid she sure did.

  • Most of those girls must have been very dissappointed in later years. Only Ginger Rogers and Gloria Stuart achieved stardom.

  • Patricia Ellis and Mary Carlisle had moderate success, but their fame did not reach past the late 1930s

  • @bobbobato Suart only achieved real stardom with Titanic...she was a B actress back then.

  • @bobbobato Stuart had a mild film career..didnt achieve true stardom for another 50 years,.

  • 0:20 "we would like to see your profeel [profile]" lol

  • that was really creepy

  • Awesome Wampas video hahahahaha "the lights are hot" hahahaha

  • How young they all were with there entire lives ahead of them. my grandfather was 32 in 1933. He lived to 83 and he's gone 24 years now. How short life is. great clip.

  • On July 4, 2009

    Gloria Stuart turned 99.

  • Today (Saturday, July 4, 2009), actress Gloria Stuart celebrates her 99th birthday!

  • And Gloria Stuart got to celebrate her 99th birthday today, July 4th, 2009! Happy birthday & thanks for all the movies. :)

  • These are the WAMPAS baby stars of 1932.

Only 2 of them are Alive today!

  • RIP Dorothy Layton (1912-2009)

With her death that only leaves 2 of these lovely ladies behind. (Gloria Stuart & Mary Carlisle)

  • The racism directed against the Japanese lady is just horrible. "Oh excuse please"! How did that lady stand for it?

  • OH MY GOD That's exactly what I was thinking!! I thought it was her at first and had to scan over the names again!!

  • uhhh well that was a study of "the male gaze" all right. weird.

  • I Thought one of those ladies looked like Jean harlow at first but then up close she don`t!! Jean Harlow was Beautiful!!

  • I'm sure Ms. Toshia Mori wouldn't dare to say so 10 years later. Matter fact, that's the only one thing I'm blaming President Roosevelt, he persecuted Japanese Americans during WW2. What a shame concerning the one of the greatest US President!

  • Patricia Ellis is the most beautiful;

  • Ginger Rogers was by far the most beautiful in the line up. :0)

  • Mary Carlisle was the prettiest.

  • Thanks for putting this online, and all the info Perfectjazz78!!!

  • How lovely! Thanks!

  • Beeswaxer, Gloria Stuart did manage to do a little James Cameron movie called "Titanic" in 1997, playing the older Rose. :)

  • Holy smoke! That's Willy Pogany, one of my favorite "Golden Age" book illustrators. He did scads of paintings for books in the teens and twenties, many of which are now rare and very expensive. Later he taught and wrote art how-to books...I had heard he'd worked in Hollywood but I never dreamed he appeared in the talkies. Priceless video!

  • I love this video and I love Dorothy Layton!

thank you for the memories, it's priceless!

    bronwyn25

  • Wow,Boots Mallory was a very beautiful woman.

Boots [1913-1958]was first married to James Cagney's brother William and then to actor Herbert Marshall, with whom she was married till her death of a throat-infection in 1958.

Very strange that she never made it as a Hollywood-actress.

  • perfectjazz78 (1 month ago)

She actually never even made it to that! She came in second in the Panther Woman contest to another lady !!!

Lona Andre was a very smart woman. After her movie-career,she became a very successful business-woman

  • What an array of glamorous ladies. Even if most of them never made it to stardom, they are still light-years beyond what passes for 'stars' in this trashy day and age. Love that Boots Mallory!

  • I did have to play this a few times to understand what lovely Lona Andre was saying! I guess that's one reason she never moved beyond "Panther Woman"!
