When I was about 7 years old, my Dad brought me a personal stereo with a built tape deck! I use play this track all the time, what a classic! Stevie Wonder is a singing genius and legend!
Mr, Wonder is so important to music ,that it scares me that i want live long enough to hear it all. Stevie, thank you for bringing light to the World. We love you Stevie.!
I didn't really like the movie that I saw years ago, but I do think this is a pretty good song. I don't remember it being part of the movie, but again, it's been many years since I've seen it. :-)
@RealityBasher87 I totally agree! I'm gonna write this out one day & try and play it on a real set of drums. The syncopated patterns and the open hat barks are wicked!!
this is one of the first attemps by stevie with synths, you see later on the skeletons album this more developed sound.this kinda experimental basic programming
@fede4real Stevie actually used synths as early as Innervisions (Living For The City clearly features that Moog synth.) But the '80s is when synths went into high gear.

the symbolism of the woman in red is like the color of wine that goes straight to your head when the color is attractive and tastes good.

@ATBfunk A lot of people might disagree, but I think this album, In Square Circle, and Characters provide good sample material.

Sampling and MIDI, yes, but Stevie as you know had been full into synths since he was banging the ARP and Moogs on his classic early 70s albums.
This tune is pure funk.
