@deutscher1a Well the only similarities there are that they both have female vocalists. Eths and Otep both have pretty similar music as well as vocal patterns. To compare those two would be like comparing the lighter stone sour songs to the heavier slipknot songs.

@xCoalChamberCMDDx Well to clarify, I never said that either Otep or V.I.T.R.I.O.L were anything like Stone Sour. It was merely a comparison I used as an example to show a difference in sound. Also, I'm very much aware that Stone Sour and Slipknot are two separate genres; However, if you were to listen to some of the heavier songs of Stone Sour's (such as 30/30-150) and some of the lighter songs of slipknot (such as Before I forget) than one could easily mistake one for the other.

@wh15p3r I'm not sure how you're not recognizing their similarities. If you listen to Otep's older material it really does sound very similar (to this song anyway.) Hell, you could go back and forth playing this song from 35 seconds on, then "Blood Pigs" by Otep and think that it was the same vocalist, simply singing in a different language. It's not a bad thing; both bands are excellent at what they do and produce fantastic music all the same.

Their lyrics are hard to understand, even in French sometimes ;-)

They started to "play" in 1999, and they have actually 4 albums : Autopsie (2000), Samantha (2002), Sôma (2004) and Tératologie (2007). A new album will be in stores soon (this autumn).
