I'm an MVPA member, and my Iltis has attended shows and parades. All parts are correctly replaced if broken. Some time in the future if the parts supplies dry up I might consider some lighter offroad use. Personally I consider leaving a vehicle to rot without any use, or driving it around salty winter roads more abusive than using them as they were designed for a weekend or two each year.
I expect you don't own an Iltis or if you do you have underestimated it's durability. Nothing was broken in this video except for a windshield frame and cracked glass.

skrew all of these imports for the military, support the local companies get a Humvee or hire BRP to build something, those Quebecers are a crafty bunch you know! cool vid, betcha a pickup could do it better
FUny thing is JoJoJordyn, is that is a Volkswagon vehicle, that the plans were sold to bombardier, and they produced it. So its really a Euro Vehicle, just being assembled in Quebec. And they arent too crafty really. They screwed over many canadians with the snowmobiles and ATVs
ya you're right about the iltis being crap for combat lol but my god was it ever fun training on this thing. some good memories lol
but the g wagon isn't that great either, that thing will go through the same stuff as the iltis or more, but the damn thing almost threw me from the turret in an accident once. I like the g wagon, but it's too top heavy and too prone to rollover. I guess it's mostly operator error though.

you said it, its a car! can't believe we were thinking about sending our troops to afghanistan in those crappy jeep wannabes! Thank god for the G Wagon
Im afraid to buy an iltis because the owners treat it like this then sell them :s

Many of iltis jeep shown in videos jumping rolled hitting rocks and trees etc will soon be wrecked..a strange way to abuse a rare vehicle.
just because they were armee jeep dont mean theyre stronger than other vehicle, frames suspension steering all easily bent..
youd be better off with an atv or old suzuki 4x4 than wreck the few of these left..
correct that G-wagen top heavy, esp armoured and gun mount increase chance of roll
