@Ralroost They're an adversary squadron, those stars are to simulate them being enemy aircraft, more specifically Soviet jets. They act as enemies for dogfighting, it's all they do, fight.

believe it or not but the plane at 2:14 is where the idea of the f-18 really came from... it started off with a f-17 then they made it even better to make a new plane for the navy. thats how f/a-18s were made.

you can't mimic 'the mig'... There are many many different fighters which have been made by Mig. The F-5 tiger is used to simulate the flight characteristics, at low speed, of (I believe) the Mig-21 in some cases.

They use it to imitate a mig-29, even though that is impossible.

im not saying the MiG-29 is a bad fighter but it can easily be beaten by an F-15,F-16,Super Hornet,Raptor,Typhoon,Rafale.

Iraqi piots flew mig-29's against f-15's as well.

A f-16 maybe. F-15 and f-18 can hardly out maneuver a mig-29. Like I said...bad pilots in the migs.

Besides..I bet Israel will buy Su-35's nest anyway. They are the best new plane that is readily available on the market at the moment.

yeah cuz isreal will probably by half of the fleet form russia they have 12 and only 48 left to be delivered. not nearly enough for russia and isreal. plus theyre possibly going to buy the F-35 and possibly the

F-15SE. the f-15SE will more likely be a hit there because theyre used to F-15s and the Silent Eagle is more stealthy then the SU-35

You're forgetting about the economy. Also, it is not guarenteed that the f-15se will be produced. (I hope it does) but for now...there is no guarente at all.

If Russia has a customer who can afford it..they will produce the su-35.

The Russian government cannot afford all they want, but a foregin governemtn can, and Russia will produce it of someone else pays for their own.

That is how the world works.

id like for it to be produced as well. But in regards to russia mass producing the SU-35...to be able to mass produce advanced aircraft like that you need a huge supply of money and russia isnt exactly sitting on a big batch of dollar bills.

I see you missed the point. Did you now that Russia produces more migs ans Sukhoi for foreign nations than they do for themselves?

India for example. IF somebody else if fitting the bill, Russia will build them.

and plus Israel has already signed on to the JSF program. meaning in a few years they will have the next generation of fighter and the most advanced in the Middle East. probably the world along with the Raptor

They have already dumped way too much money into it if you ask me.

its supposed to be up there with the Raptor. and the US isnt the only country Funding it...all the countries who will recieve the JSF are Funding the Program. and others are looking to purchase some...mainly because its Stealthy and can land and take off verticaly(more user friendly then the Harrier

The "Commieflauge" looks pretty bad ass on those F/A18s. Can you imagine beeing in a commercial jet and have the pilot come on the intercom and say "This is the captain speeking.
