I only know of the one infraction not a continued series of infractions. Brett has said that he was paying homage to the author. If that were the case (and I have no way of knowing) then he is as guilty as I am whenever I play other people's music on my channel or when I make a video showing another artist's work. It would be nice if we could all go back and examine that video.

No one is worked up because BK posted a poem and took credit for it, granted that was tacky, but that's not why people are angry. BK Dropped Docs many of us saw the video and many of us begged him to take it down but he didn't and then him and his account were gone and rightfully so.
The rules are the rules and as far as Doc Dropping TOS is very clear about that and as far as I can tell they haven't their stand on it either.
There is zero tolerance of predatory behaviour, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy or the revealing of other members' personal information. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from YouTube.

an observant person will see whats going on here. since Brett left youtube he has been shunned by pretty much every youtube atheist, but not by the youtube christians. He spends all of his cam-time hanging around with christians on stickam. so he wants to attack the people who turned their backs on him whilst appeasing his new christian friends by attacking atheistic beliefs. its sad to see him reduced to this. i no longer want to see Brett reinstated

Please don't have a stroke over these people. There's no point in arguing reason with them, because they long ago made the choice to abdicate their powers of reason and accountability, in favor of delusory power and the tactics of rationalization.
Beyond this, excessive righteous anger is something to be wary of, as it creates an addictive cycle of adrenalin rush in the body. Pretty soon we're doing anything and everything to enjoin conflicts that allow us to experience it, to ruination.

The funniest part is, when BK was on youtube, he and guys like CaptainOawesome were the figureheads for this kind of angry, idiot atheist bigot Brett rails against here. I once left him a comment that while I enjoyed his phone debates with Christians, he seemed to target nervous youth pastors and the like, and that I'd like to see him take on a theist actually knowledgeable of scripture. He replied there was no such thing, they're all idiots with their heads in their asses, and that was it.

I don't know why there is a need for a "grouping" of athiests. Why do we need a support group for something we DON'T believe in. That is just weird. I don't believe in fairies either. Do I need to join a group of people who doen't believe in fairies? I don't believe in hobbits. Do we need a group for that also? We don't need a group or a church of athiests any more than we need a group of antihobbits. What we could use is a third party in the USA though. This two party system sucks balls.

One thing that I would like to add is most people do live their life as groupies. Very few will "OFFEND THE GROUP" that they belong too. Its takes a rebel, a loner, someone willing to be an outsider to do that. It doesnt matter if its a social glass group, a religious or non-religious group, a family, relatives group, a political group, etc., Man is instinctively a social being. Brett Keane is right on a few things though. In one of those sound bytes Brett Keane says that doubt requires just as much justification as belief and that most atheists on youtube don't justify their doubt. This is totally true and a sound argument.

He also numerous other things some of which are not very nice and some of which are very funny. You should try and find some Brett talking about the Bible videos, they are often cleaver and insightful.

LOL it does seem to be a contradiction, but you will see that he can easily draw a distinction and get out of this type of contradiction (ex: i am not part of a group, my goal is X, atheist goals are Y, etc.).... i think this guy really just has a disdain for anyone who is not top-of-the-line intelligent/rational, so he hates atheists/theists, black-hair people/non-black hair people, etc... i assume he considers himself to be in that top 1%.

Namely that other suspended users have been able to come back but not Brett? Isn't it valuable to have him back? Brett Keane actually did multiple things considered morally wrong by most and broke terms of service he agreed to when he created his account. He breaks the rules again then by all means ban him, but give him the chance everybody else seems to be getting. BTW, I highly doubt anyone at youtube has taken the time to investigate this situation. It's a simple matter of people flagging the account.

I really find it hard to believe that you would welcome back anyone after they dropped docs. Doc Droppers are not forgiven and not welcome. BK fucked up it is on one him and he can play the martyr until the cows come home but what he did is one of if not the worst thing you can do online, he tried to wreck someone's RL over online BS. I for one hope he is never welcomed back here and if he is I hope at the very least the partnership program is off limits for him.

Sometimes you have to stick up for people you dont agree with to make the overall system better. the 6 month clean slate rule is ONLY for copyright infringement marks against a user, DOC Dropping is still permaban.
Brett played fast and loose with his account and large subscriber base by dropping docs, he keeps getting banned from that same infraction which has always been in the TOS and has never been removed.
in this case bigevasive you should stick up for Brett's victim, that will make the system better (and safer).

I only know of the one infraction not a continued series of infractions. Brett has said that he was paying homage to the author. If that were the case (and I have no way of knowing) then he is as guilty as I am whenever I play other people's music on my channel or when I make a video showing another artist's work. It would be nice if we could all go back and examine that video.

Bigevasive maybe you didn't know because it did happen pretty fast. BK publicly posted another persons Full Name Home Address Cell Phone # Workplace Name Address Phone number and e-mail addresses. No one is worked up because BK posted a poem and took credit for it, granted that was tacky, but that's not why people are angry. BK Dropped Docs many of us saw the video and many of us begged him to take it down but he didn't and then him and his account were gone and rightfully so.

The rules are the rules and as far as Doc Dropping TOS is very clear about that and as far as I can tell they haven't their stand on it either.
There is zero tolerance of predatory behaviour, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy or the revealing of other members' personal information. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from YouTube.
BK dropped docs he was rightfully banned. Perma bans on Doc Droppers will make the system better and safer for everyone.

I unsubbed from you too Bigevasive and believe me I did hate doing it but I can not support with my subscription anyone who views Doc Dropping as anything but heinous.
