@zuriko getting focusef and cant do my combo before im dead. I guess i w8 to long for the "perfekt" moment and then i die ... How do u use skill points? What skill do u max first/last?
@StorJerkarn Keep behind your tank, bind self-cast E to T or something, then do TW when you're getting focused. This will shield you, speed you and any allies up, and slow whoever's attacking/chasing you, and it's a little quicker if you're not using "Smart+Self" cast. Build survival if you need it, but usually between her shield and the HP from your yellows/roa/rylais you should have plenty. Max Q first, W second, point in E at 4 and max E last.

@StorJerkarn What problems did you have specifically? Full build is situational, but I really like Rylai's. Your AD should hopefully be carrying late game, but you can still drop the entire team to around half with a good ult combo to make it easier for your team to clean up. If they won't clump up for your ult don't be afraid to blow it on one person if you know you can kill them. Forcing a 5v4 late game can be a game-winning play.
@StorJerkarn First off don't pick her if they have a flash silencer mid, i.e. Talon/Kass/LB. Start boots/pots and focus on last hitting until you can get blue and/or catalyst. Don't be afraid to sneak in autoattacks when you can, her passive makes them hurt more than most ap mids. Use your Q to zone, but be careful with mana. You should always keep enough for a shield/W combo to help escape ganks. Get catalyst/roa ASAP, then straight to deathcap & void. Thanks for the comments :)
Nice! Im a midder in my team and they tell me to not buy orianna... But i want buy her ! I have looked on her stats (mana cost , ap ratio) and its not good at all compared to ex lux. This should not be a problem with blue buff but how do u play early? Runes and masteries?
@StorJerkarn She is a bit more reliant on blue than most AP mids, ever since the manacost nerfs. What you need to consider when running her numbers is her AOE burst. With a good ult you can land everything on 4-5 people, putting her total burst potential under only a few other champs (Xerath is one.) I usually run mpen reds, health/lv yellows, ap/lv blues and flat ap quints, with 9/0/21 in favor of mana regen, buff duration, cdr and spellvamp to help her sustain until catalyst.
@blooperheaven I can't recommend spending RP on <6300 sales, but Ori's still a good pick if you don't care about that. Hardly anyone plays her these days so she's very rarely banned or counter-picked.

@BlazedHearts I ran the numbers on all the popular AP carries recently and found that her single-target burst damage is only slightly lower than Annie's, while her AOE burst potential is unrivaled (next highest was Brand.) People not familiar with Orianna will often look at her low AP ratios and get the idea that she's weak without factoring in her insane AOE potential, but this is where she shines. I cringe whenever someone calls her a support.

I think he was hesitant to go in at first, but decided to go anyway because they had their whole team there and most people underestimate Ori's ability to pull off crazy plays from the other side of a wall. I use smartcast with everyone, and I also bind selfcast E to T on Ori for easier shielding (which also works well with Morgana and a few others.)
