  • Wow, I saw the dvd of this movie yesterday and I didn't assume it's so good. First thing I'm gonna do tomorrow is go back to the store and buy it.

  • Morgaine is one ferocious woman.

  • In the book her head gets caved in by another one of the knights.

  • Ta Errado no livro a Viviane morre quando balim dá um golpe de machado nela...

  • I adore the music from this film.

  • I love Arthur

  • OMG I just started crying because of Vivianes death ... I really love her !! Anjelica Huston is such a great actress . It would seem she was born for this role

  • "Our Father in Heaven, and our Mother the Earth, soon I shall be taken into your house. Let me be fit to wear your robes. Let the sword that I die by cleanse me. And if there is honor in the course you have set for me, let me earn it today."

Wow. What a noble thing to say, especially after all he's gone through, not to mention while staring certain death right in the face and knowing what will happen to Camelot after the battle. Long live King Arthur!

  • Part 17 here, is THE most epic scene throughout the movie!!!! This is my favorite, FAVORITE scene, throughout the movie, from the time Vivienne rides up to the cliff to join Morgaine, to the end of the movie. And the pyre scene! Where Vivienne and Morgause are cremated. AH!!! Love it!!! Even though, yes, this is completely out of context from the book. But still, for the movie, they HAD to do something. Remember, the book is over 1000 pages, and a very complex story. So, give 'em SOME slack.

  • @LadyOwl401 The book isnt over 1000 pages. It is 876 pages. It would have been better for them to make a 12 hour miniseries. 4-3 hour movies based on the 4 sections of the book: The Mistress of Magic, The High Queen,. The King Stag, & The Prisoner in the Oak. Also they got kind of lazy on the whole aging thing. The book takes place over (roughtly) 40-50 year span and yet Viviane & Gwen dont look a day older from the beginning and the only effort to age Arthur & Lancelot was to give them beards.

  • I can't tell you how wrong the line "My sister why did you not tell me about our child" sounds!!! EWWWW!!

  • In my remembers in the Book Viviane died alone and Morgause was killed by Mordred. He trows her down from a tower of the castel. And after her escaped Lancelot disapered

  • @GanetteM Sorry but you are wrong. Viviane is killed by the Balin foster brother of her own son Balan at Pentacost when she came to reclaim Exaclibur from Arthur for putting aside the Pendragon banner. We do not find out what happens to Morgause. When we see her she is leaving Camalot for Lothian. Not to mention that Igraine died much earlier in the book.

  • Mordred, you stupid bitch...

  • o no

  • Wow. Uh, this movie totally fucked up the book. Morgause didn't even kill Viviane. o.o I guess it was made more meaningful this way anyway.

  • @DoctorValkyrie Morgause didn't kill Viviane in the movie. Mordred did. What are you talking about??

  • @LMA629 Oh, ah, I posted that before I saw that Mordred killed Viviane. But still, Mordred didn't kill Viviane in the book either.

  • @DoctorValkyrie Mordred in the books was creepy, but I kinda liked him better.

  • Britain's had loads of invasions against it. The only one I think we won against was in WW2.

    AndSoItBegins....TheInvasionOfTheSaxons...

7:45 Arthur's lot are so screwed... Dx

  • @FallenStarsPro: Napoleon never managed to conquer Britain either.

  • I remember Raven screaming gave me chills the first time I watched this. And poor thing it appears as if she is the only one who aged this whole movie with her gray hair.

  • anjelica huston is so epic..

  • Well spoken Morgane! =)

  • .....how is Mordred suddenly leading the Saxons??

  • VIVIANE! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ever since i read this book i thought my street name was the coolest thing ever! I LIVE ON AVALON! lol

  • @lonSinceInsane your street name?

  • Mordred just randomly leads the Saxtons?... That's a plot hole large enough to drop a state into...

  • Pieta imagery 1:22....gotta love it....but oh Viviane! Why must you go?

  • this belongs on an episode of jerry springer or maury. messed up family. poor morgana

  • not quite how she dies in the book!!!!! in fact no where naer it but wow emotional still

  • Ride Arthur! For England, for Camelot, and for Avalon!

  • Damn you Mordred!

  • RIP Vivienne

  • This is when Avalon faded from the world of men and only Glastenbery only marked where it's wonders stood.

  • though i perfer Marloy's take on Arthur with some regards to the poems of Tennyson, this version is still enjoyable

  • Good to see Arthur and Lancelot back together in end there... remember, bro's before hoe's!!!

  • eww lmaaoo poor raccoon on mordreds head XD

  • who's the random blonde chick in the garden?

  • The sheer logistics of staging this battle for film must have been hell.

  • bear the burden? morgaine left mordred when he was only a little baby and never returned to him

  • @RuuYaa96 I think she was talking about the burden of knowledge about what happened between them all those years ago... >.>

  • Hans Matheson is so hot!!

  • Gosh I hate Mordred. Especially when he screams. He looks so hideous ><

  • who was the white haired chick? was hat supposed to be Raven?

  • @shadowpsykie Yup.

  • @IAmContemporary Who is Raven, again?

  • @pianissimo5 She who took the vow of silence.

  • @LilKama1 thanks!

  • @pianissimo5 You're quite welcome (:

  • @IAmContemporary: Thank you! I had no idea who it was either until I read the comments.

  • viviens death is so sad

angelica houston was amazing as the lady of the lake

  • @twilightbiggestfan yes. she was also in happily ever after but she was the antagonist. reguardless--both roles she shows that "badass" air. ^^

  • Morgane looks like Arwen

  • @EyeRaven yeah, although morgane looks more, i dunno, wild?? arwen has that classical beauty, more delicate. i prefere (sp?) morgane;) what du u think?

  • is it just me, or do you think it's Arthur just chillin' on the cross in the backround? Not dead but...

  • I walk a path of 2 halves.

wings of death and the lie of light.

I wait for the fall of man.

I will give no mercy to any soul.

I am unforgiving and tainted to hell.

  • lol i love the way the mute one, breaks he silence when she realises the "godess" is dead.

  • @hotties3v3n The Goddess did not die. She shrieked because Vivianne died.

  • NOOO!!! this is terrible :(

why do the good people always die????

  • i want a lunar eclipse when i die...

  • 00.07 isnt morgause's make up like a 19th century prostitute? lol

  • more gothic girl, i think

  • @MedievalFairy and a little evil looking!

  • Poor Vivianne, i loved her...

  • Vivianne in the book gets chopped in the head by Balin, not senior Mordred. Like this better though. Somehow its more eloquent. And Raven's shrieking is eerily poignant.

  • This never happened in the book , sure she died but not like this..and morgause was never such a bitch..

  • @saranna258 No, Morgause was definitely this much of a bitch.

  • Omg...

    Mordred's such a freak...

  • NOOOO VIVIANE!!!

  • They should have just throw Morgause body somewhere or leave it to rot!

  • whenever I watch this film, I'm always like "oh no! not Viviane!!!"=(

  • This didn't happen in the book I'm pretty sure...

  • holy shit. that's a lot of men.

ew. and wtf is mordred wearing on his head?? ick

  • It's a wolf skin. It symbolizes ruthlessness and power in battle.

  • y vivian????? i loved her. =(

  • how did he join the saxons?? Oh mordred!

  • Haha, I know but still... : )

  • I didn't know that it was a part of the Old Way to burn the dead. Interesting.

  • I disagree, not in Judaism, Chrisitianity, Islam, or for others that have large numbers of believers. And I don't believe it was a part of the Old Way either and that they did this for the film to make it more dramatic.

  • The antique Greeks burned their bodies with two silver coins on their eyes for their journey to Hades.

  • @AcrossTheOceanSky no they didn't always burn their bodies, not all the tribes, they mostly buried them with coins.............there are lots of ancient tombs in greece!!!

  • holy hell. thats not wut it is like in the book. o.o balin is supposed to kill her.

  • wow...the part where Viviane died gave me chills T---T

  • i know, i hope an eclipse happens when i die.

  • i know. and poor raven. on avalon all alone. :(
