I'm getting a 30 gallon tank like this with a great filter with a protein skimmer, heater, thermometer UV sterilizer and power head that come with it and fit in the back :) I cant wait, Good luck with yours!
@ToXiCTKmontages , thanks, at that time I was relatively new to the hobby, I have since done a lot of learning and even changed my set up, check out some of the newer videos. I am all set on the QT set up now. thanks for watching
Mine had ich too after 3 days of getting him. I got a 15w UV sterilizer and the ich was 90% gone within 24 hours and completely gone in a week (I first filtered the water through my canister before going to my uv sterilizer). My hippo is still around with me after 1.5 years so far. That was a close one! I bought the Aqua Advantage 2000 15w uv sterilizer at aquacave.com or petstore.com
I brought home a rock from Florida that had star polyps on them and yes, they start out small but mine EXPLODE on the rock and is huge now it is probably the hardiest and nicest coral in my tank you buy was worth it oh and check out my videos on my aquariums
@immateachuhowtoskate // Yeah it is fine, have had no problems with coral growth. Just make sure to run the lights for at least 9-10 hrs per day, and on a regular schedule, I would recommend using a timer.

Welcome to nano reef hobby
In my experience the key to keeping a successful nano reef tank is water quality!
I recommend a RO/DI water filtration, a very good quality marine salt brand, weekly water changes, and patients.
