great shot on the 9 ball! but don't you think he could have just played safety on the 8 ball? he could have just stop the cue ball which is much easier, it was a low percentage shot on the 9-ball.

As softly as he is breaking, I wonder why he isn't using his playing cue. No risk breaking the tip of his cue loose on that soft a break shot, no? Busti very wisely did not hit the fourth rail to get to the eight (contrarily to what the commentator suggests), by the way. Don't particularly care for the way he then shot the eight, though, but neither did he. ;^)

Bustamante slightly lost the cue ball on the break, although he was soft breaking, that's pretty strange. if he had stopped the cue ball, he would have had an easy 3 ball into the corner pocket, or if the cue ball had come back further into the center of the table, he would have had an even easier 3 ball into the side. But of course, he managed to get out, an that's what counts.
