  • Whats the Differences between 3-D Modeling / Animation and Game Simulation Programing??

  • how do you create models like this in the first place?

  • watch?v=gXbcxRuGSho

  • not bad for back in 2006

  • I thought the griffin is half-eagle and half lion, but why's your griffin is also part-bat?

  • I want that I whe're so good as this guy my moddels are not bad but not so cool as yours. But one thing why are those thing very ugly why don't you make some thing like a cool and wonderful dragon? Couse you're realy good.

  • The griffins wings look cool

  • how do you add 2 objects together? Say i draw/sculpt my character model, and then i draw/sculpt a weapon...how would i be able to combine the weapon to the hand so that when i add poly to it for animation, they move together

  • @Bokuza just make an armature and put it in your character and

put them together then put the object in his hand. Then select the

object and select the armature and push ctrl and p and select object.

    thats how I do it

  • hey, does anyone know if you can color a model on Zbrush? Like color the model's clothes/hair/eyes etc?

  • Yes, there two techniques. Poly painting and projection painting.

  • @inuloveskagome

yes u can, use a matcap material to do so.

  • @inuloveskagome yes, use poly paint.

  • @inuloveskagome You can but I would suggest coloring in a texture with z project cuz coloring is very hard in most models. Check out some zproject tutorials.

  • You should really be kicking butt by now.

  • GReat!!!!

  • Although to assume he used them isn't probably a great idea. Mudbox is out there, so is Max, XSI, Houdini, etc. He could have done the whole thing in Blender if he didn't have it listed at the end. Blender has a sculpting tool very similar to Mudbox and Zbrush. It's only a tool. :P

  • It says what software he used at the end. Maya, Mental Ray for rendering, Zbrush, after effects etc.

  • i think he used xsi then definitely zbrush. not sure about the rendering

  • Nice. Lighting is kind of hot on the ratman's face around the :40 sec mark. Just a suggestion. Awesome reel, hope you land a good job with it!

  • thats good same question as men2725 what software?

  • Its in the video at 1:55

  • I would assume he created the base model in Maya then detailed teh model in Z-brush.

  • very nice model! what software u use??
